Usually, after DT NPC prices reset. How many of the stations that have had their values adjusted after DT have always varied somewhat. What I'm concerned about, as a trader, is that after every DT since the patch prices aren't what they should be.
I suspect this can be traced to additional unscheduled downtimes (where prices sometimes "adjust"). It's just not funny to have goods on 18 stations and after DT discover that only 2 prices have gone up, and to subpar levels at that. It ruins an entire days worth of income to me every time it happens (plus I have nothing productive to do ingame).
My question is simply, has there been any tampering with the NPC market in this patch? If so I have about 500 Mil worth of goods to get rid of and new career paths to investigate. ------------------------------------------------ Swedes rule, too bad I'm intaki. |

Edited by: Trak Cranker on 18/12/2005 11:52:03 I have already answered you on this elsewhere, I'm pretty sure.
Npc prices changes are not a sure thing. They don't reset to some default value same time every day.
They TEND to change at DT - but its far from a sure thing. Especially if people are pounding the particular good and stations.
If anything the additional reboots should have helped you. But they might not have changed anything(see above).
There is no isk button there.
The market does not seem to have been tampered with for all I can see.
My bet is that you are just too greedy in your sell order optimism and people keep undercutting. Please resize your signature so that it is within the forum rule size limits - Jacques |

I examine sell orders before DT and use remote selling directly after DT, as soon as the market opens. So on that point you're wrong.
I'm more leaning towards the multiple downtime theory. It seems to me that the more downtimes there are during a day, the less the prices adjust at each downtime. So if you've had lots of unscheduled downtimes (where other people that have been trading might have gotten trade opportunities) you're not going to get many changes at the scheduled one.
Good thing your market seems to be as usual. Then I can rest assured nothing's been changed, which was about what I wanted to know with this inquiry. ------------------------------------------------ Swedes rule, too bad I'm intaki. |

I petititoned this months ago and got a GM response. Turns out that the NPC market order price changes are due to no purchasing occuring for the time during downtime.
