for those who CBA to read - Close XFIRE when palying EVE if u have FPS problems on a good graphics card
Since the RMR update i ahve been having problems with FPS, getting 9fps in station etc...
I am running -
CPU - P4 3.2Ghx /w Hyperthreading
RAM - 768MB DDr400
GFX - 256MB GeForce 6800GT
So i shouldnt have a problem....right?
This morning i got on my pc at 5am before work, and didnt want to load things liek MSN, Xfire etc.... and i thought the server problems were fixed, and my FPS had got better (Was now getting 60 in station)
returned home from work (30mins ago) and loaded up eve..... 10fps
Then thought, what did i do different this morning. Closed XFire, then launched eve .. 50fps
There seems to be a conflict in the XFire In Game Messenger and the overview of eve, not sure where it exists or anything liek that.
Hope this can help a few people in my situation.

What is XFIRE? CCA? forgive my noob questions
AMD 64 939 stocket
6800 GT 256 RAM
1 GIG dual channel memroy
60 to 70 FPS in station

I posted a message about this on the xfire forums to see if their devs can sort it, meanwhile ive disabled xfire ingame in eve.
Alt of Amazoph - main acct is disabled atm :(

Its a smaller more compact version of Gamespy Arcade, game browsers for all your games, chat channels etc, another one of those good ideas "If" you own and play about 30+ games, personally i only really play about 3, so its not really worth it for me.

i think theres a bugg with the latest version of Xfire...
if you leave your computer online for awhile and then come back..
then xfire bubble pops up and shows every loggon and loggoff since you left...
think a relogg will fix the problem

Hello, just tried this with XFire. Having the same problem, although far less noticeable.  Here are the results:
My Computer>
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 (w/ Hypertransport, of course)
RAM - 2048MB DDR400 OCZ w/ ECC
GFX - ATi Radeon x850 PRO 256MB
Docked in Intaki Station with XFire: 70fps
Docked in same station without: 120fps
This could definately be a problem for lower-end PCs and could probably use some optimizations on XFire's end as well as CCP's.
