Well done to CCP for the expansion of course, but is there any need to blatantly lie on the front page?
The servers went down at 8pm on the 14th and came up just before 3am on the 16th. That's 31 hours for the deployment.

My theory is that who ever wrote that was so tired and full of coffee that he couldnt count and had lost sense of time.

Then you're about 3million topics too slow then. ----------- I would have a sig but it might break a arm, leg or even worse a rule. |

I don't have time for the troll posts.
I think it's important that the company I pay money to religiously for three accounts each month is honest with its customers.
CCP, Please correct the text?

Funny that you seem quite good at making useless points, as did the 2.99million before you
Plus I'm sure there are more important things to do than change a bit of text. ----------- I would have a sig but it might break a arm, leg or even worse a rule. |

I love the patch but the lag is making it unplayable. Maybe they should reword it to say "successfully (pending)".

As for the lag/bugs, deal with it, it'll be gone soon. It's too laggy/bugy to play for a week maybe two, then they fix it and everyone loves CCP again :) - same as every previous expansion. |

do you really think posting whines are going to make you feel more uber, or get any responce from CCP?
all it does, imho, is make you look like a ned.
get over it, dont like the game , leave. if not suck it up, itll be back to nbormal as soon as they can make it.
-I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.-

you are being a troll though... The statement is correct, the patching was completed succsesfully. The bugs are not what the statement is talking about. Also some of the problems are due to the sheer demand put on the servers with 20k people playing....

When replying to a thread, it's always a good idea to read the first post before you flame the poster.

I don't mind the fact the patch was delayed, infact I'd rather it was delayed even more to debug all this lag that makes the game unplayable.
The text bothers me purely because someone has sat there and wrote a complete fabrication. If they lie about something as petty as that, what else do they lie about?

The OP just needs to go play SWG for a bit wile CCP fixes the bugs and lag. A few weeks of playing that crap and he will never say a bad word about CCP again. SOE has no problems lieing to your face wile taking your money, pluse making you pay $30 for an expansion that a good part of the content will be useless after two weeks.

Edited by: Boffin on 18/12/2005 18:08:50 I have to agree. I'm not bothered how long it took. I appreciate the fact that CCP are working extremely hard to correct any bugs and improve stability.
However i do feel that if they are going to go to the trouble of writing and publishing an article, it should be factually correct.
There is no shame in saying the patch took 6 or 7 hours longer than anticipated, but there is a degree of shame in pretending that this wasn't the case.
I'm sure it was a typo/misunderstanding rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead.
