Now there are 20000 people online and it looks like the game no working more ore less, some flame about lags, but i got a greater problem. I lose the connection every 5-15 minutes. With some lags i would be able to play a little bit but with that problem its unplayable.
Some one else got so many connection breaks or know a fix?
Its frustrating.

I feel for you bro, i've got exactly the same problem and i don't know if its an eve problem or simply the isp's fault. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, playing with lag is bad, playing with lag and disconnecting every 5-15 mins is hell.

CanŠt belive its a problem with my ISP. It had work perfect before RMR. Do you use the updated Coldwar crisis or the new full client from the downloadpage. Maybe this one is buggy. I had problem at updating the coldwarcrisis and use this full client.

Don't hassle your ISP - it ain't their fault!

Yeah I started a thread about this earlier today. I have had this problem only AFTER RMR. The game is completely unplayable at this point. It's not the ISP as I have verified it by running a nonstop ping to my ISP DNS server and there is NO break in the ping. So it is definately EvE, question is what though.

I've been having this problem for month and a half now. Even had my ISP send techs to my house just in case. Other Multi games work perfectly fine for me. I get dropped primarily after few minutes of inactivity. Not always but it's the biggest reason i noticed.

I tryed to download the old Coldwarcrissis client for an old installation and wanted to try normal patching. As i write above, i use the new Fullclient from the Downloadpage.
But the disconnectproblem maybe hit me at my simple downloads now too
The Downloadfilewindow not freeze. The animation goes on the downloadspeed freese and i get no more files.
But thats not only at Eve-Onlinepage same with www.Gamershell.com and its not a problem with the Evefiles i got the same with Civ4 demo.
Someone with the diconnectionbug got the same with normal downloads, too?
Maybe its a worm or Trojan and its a fortuity that the problems starting with RMR.

I now experience the same problem since the day CCP released RMR. I downloaded the patch manually from the website (as auto-patching wouldn't work), and installed it. Now every now and then I will lose connection to EVE after anywhere from 5-15 minutes as describe. However on top of this I am also experiencing VERY SLOW connection times when trying to log in. Pre-RMR logging in was a matter of 20 seconds or less... Post-RMR it takes on average 1-2 *minutes*
Anybody else?

I had this problem recently where I would disconnect quite often during busy times. And take me 30 or 40 times just to successfully login.
What fixed it for me was this, Open port 25999 to 26001 for both UDP and TCP on your router or firewall. That should fix any disconnects not related to pure lag in heavily populated systems.

thanks to all who posted their stories of grief !
using a notebook i had the issue of rebooting once combat with more than one ship started. turned off the in-game sound, and since then eve ran smoothly (though laggy sometimes), but at least the reboots stopped.
my honest thanks !!

I will try opening the ports you mentioned and see what happens. I never had to do this before RMR. Will keep you posted with the results.

Just opened TCP and UDP on ports 25999-26000 on both my router and on local windows firewall on both my game computers.
It seems to work.
Fingers crossed. Going to try some courier missions now.

Well I tried this, putting my PC on the DMZ and lastly removing the router altogether. NOTHING has changed and I keep getting booted. It has gotten to the point where the game is completely unplayable. The avg. time is 15 minutes but happens as quickly as 3 minutes sometimes. I have completely ruled out my ISP and my hardware as NO OTHER game MMO, FPS or otherwise has any problems. If anything this thread needs a sticky so that it can be responded to by CCP and monitored by the community.

I certainly feel for you. Make sure you have contacted tech support, upgraded audio and video drivers as well as your operating system. If that doesn't work download ping plotter and see where you are losing your packet loss. You should also try to move out of the hubs if you are in one.

I have already contacted Tech Support and it has been ongoing now for 3 days. I upgraded all drivers and firmware on everything in my system. I have diabled sound as per tech supports suggestion all to no avail. I have used ping plotter and sent them a text log and screen shot w/ no resolve. It also happens in populated and non populated areas, in a station while autopiloting to destination, during combat, etc... There is no rhyme or reason it just happens. I hope for a resolution for the long Christmas break as I have the week off from work and will be looking forward to playing. But if this continues I will be unable to.
