I grabbed camera-man by the arm, dragging him off of the stage. Narrowly avoiding jets of plasma, sparks, flying metal. We found a maintenance duct, I ripped off the cover and forced camera man inside. We crawled for a few minutes, hearing a tremendous clamoring racket echoing and pinging all around us. Until we came to another cover. smashing it aside we stood up in a different hallway. It was mostly empty. There was only one person at the end who could be seen flailing around with an impulse-hammer. Every time the hammer made contact with the floor or walls its impulse sent the person spinning, twisting and flying out of control. A manic thrilled expression on their face. Much to our surprise we saw the words we were longing to see stenciled above the door in front of us GÇ£Escape UnitsGÇ¥ Camera man looked up at the words, back at me, And switched his light from red to green with an audible shutter click.
1 Hour Prior.
GÇ£These things will be very difficult to sellGÇ¥
The market consultant told me
GÇ£There will be significant overhead involvedGÇ¥
GÇ£What do you recommend?GÇ¥ I asked.
GǣAGǪThird partyGǥ said the consultant with a sly smile.
GÇ£Ok, go ahead and get that process startedGÇ¥ I said.
The market consultant got out of his chair, stood up and walked over to me, he quickly pulled out a pneumatic auto-injector out of his pocket, and in one swift motion shot it straight into my leg.
I woke up in the passenger compartment of what had to have been a shuttle. Confused and dazed I look up. Much to my surprise camera-man was sitting next to me. Seeing that I was awake, the large security camera that was his head made a series of clicks and lens adjustments. The red light around his lens turned green.
GÇ£We are hereGÇ¥ said a voice over the intercom. I felt butterflies as we rapidly slowed down. With a rushing hiss the cabin door opened. We were in some kind of industrial storage facility. There were words written above the door GÇ£The Third PartyGÇ¥
We went through the door and down the hallway, The further we went the louder the noise got. It was like a pulsating, screaming, scraping banging sound all at the same time. We were approaching a door at the end of the hall. I could tell that camera-man was worried about what was on the other side of the door. I pulled the latch and opened the door. The noise hit us like an explosion.
On the other side was a party, of which intensity I had never seen before. It wasn't a GÇ£conventionalGÇ¥ party. All of the sound was coming from people with assorted heavy-industrial equipment. They were all going out of control. Flying around. Hundreds of them, If not thousands. Multicolored lights from different pieces of equipment were the only form of illumination. There would be blinding flashes of white light, followed by a split second of complete darkness, punctuated with stabs of bright reds, blues and oranges and greens coming from different people and their equipment. All running in some kind of crazy rhythmic pulse.
Suddenly snapping out of the daze I had entered while taking all of this in. I noticed that camera-man was no longer with me. I frantically looked around trying to spot him. My stomach sunk as I saw him. A terrified camera-man had somehow ended up on the stage. Looking around wildly at the people surrounding him who were going out of control with their pieces of equipment. I started trying to push my way through the crowd to reach him. The man in front of me had a giant rivet driver that he was firing repeatedly into the floor, rapid fire. Turning the floor beneath him into a twisted mess of bent and still glowing red hot rivets. Each time he fired it he was momentarily lifted a few inches off of the ground, his legs swinging around him. Only to come dropping back down an instant later with a loud crash.
I finally clawed my way up to the stage and climbed up the flimsy ladder. I grabbed camera- man by the arm, dragging him off of the stage. Narrowly avoiding jets of plasma, sparks, flying metal. We found a maintenance duct, I ripped off the cover and forced camera man inside. We crawled for a few minutes, hearing a tremendous clamoring racket echoing and pinging all around us. 1. wrong forum section (should probably be in Eve Fiction) 2. uh ... WTF did I just read? One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

Grammarly found 24 critical writing issues and gives it a score of 72/100 ("adequate, can benefit from revision"). Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

As always awesome read. I really wish you'd post all of your stories in a link your sig though. It's a bit of a pain having to search for them in post history. |
