Main thing to do when fitting a shipp is: USING ITS BONUSES!! you dont fly a dominix without using drones.. you dont fly a minmatar shipp without using Projectiles.. you dont fly amarr without using Lasers.. and so on. OFC you can make a suprice settup with a apoc with 1400mm's and stuff... but thats not what this thread is about.. AND a n00b (no ofence to the op) should learn to play the game b4 he starts mixing up crazy settups.. The only shipp i can see using some thing else than its races guns, would be on a Crow caus you dont have any bonus to its gun slott.. Maby a raven if you dont wanna/feel the need to use Nos.. Anyways:
Her's a Killing Cyclone settup:
5x 220mm AC 3x Named Med Nos
10mn MWD 20km/7.5km scrambler Large Shield Booster Invulnerbility field EM shield hardener
2/3 Gyro 2/1 PDU/WCS
t2 where u can ofc.. :P
The Ninja super roundhouse kick trick to use when up against a HAC/assault friggies, is to use the right ammo... (EM/EXP) EMP for Caldari/Gallente (Thermal) Phased Plasma for Amarr (Kinetick/Explosive) Fusion/Titanium Sabot for Minmatar
For the OP: It's never a good idea to fitt for multitasking... (NPC'ing + PVP'ing) the best way to come close to this is to: Carry the hardeners for the local NPC's your going to hunt in your cargo, and refitt when you want to do so. besides that, any PVP'er with a brain bigger than their computer mouce wheel, would go for damage NOT done by the local NPC's when hunting for NPC'ers.. the 3x medium nos should help when PVP'ing try this settup against your corpmates Moa.
Thats why taking out Rail shipps to hunt NPC'ers in gurista/Serpentis space, or Lasers in Sansha/blood space is a bad idea.. For Projo guns, you can change ammo to damage type not used by the local npc's
Cheers! Fogy
Aren't you gonna be torn to shreds by a Brutix that gets within 5km (blasterix I mean). he does twice the dps you do, and that shield booster might be nice, but you can run it only very shortly. Also you won't drain him that fast since he'll have a cap booster fitted.....
I'm not saying I know a better setup, just wondering how you'd fight it.

Dann
