ok lets say to build a ship you need 1m trit, to get trit you need 333 units to refine of veld which gives you 1k trit. Therefore:
Mineral amount (1m) / ore yield 1k x units to refine 333 = 333,000 veld to get the 1m of trit you need.
I thought this was right untill I was calculating mexallon from jespet and got the same number for the mins needed and the ore needed.
mex from jespet = 500 (actually 518 but I was using 500 to plug in to round it down a bit) 500 units to refine
so if we need 1m mex it looks like this
1m/500 x 500 = 1m wtf?
I suck at math and was fairly proud of myself for comming up with formula all on my own but now it seems to not be working. Can some math wiz out there check my math and tell me what im doing wrong here.

I just made a spread sheet in excel. It doesn't calculate it accurately but it does the job of drooling ;)
You need 1m tritanium. If you have refining lvl 2 (Like I do.) Now for 1mil trit you need roughly 400000 veldspar (That's normal veldspar).
You also need mexallon (Another mil) so then you need.. Plagioclase! yay!! 1,550,00 plagioclase. Or if you use kernite (Which is infinity better as it gives isogen) then you only need to get 850,000. (If I'm right that is, might be wrong). But with that 850,000 kernite you get 1,040,000 + 554,200 isogen.

Math is correct. Jaspet sucks for Mex.
If 500 Jaspet = 518 Mex then you'll have to mine loads to get 1M Mex.
Only reason to mine it, is to get the Nocx and Zydrine. |

I am based in ours-villore-allamont area any clue where to find kernite around there as I have been unable to find any

It's found in .4 space in caldari + amarr for sure. Amarr have it in .5 space. Just don't mine omber if you can. Kernite > Omber any day of the week (Including public holidays ;))
