I'm guessing it's down to the new can tagging/theft rules, but has anyone else checked the last 24 hours kill rates lately.
There's more ships being destroyed in "safe" space than there are in low sec!

Edited by: Kerosene on 19/12/2005 05:02:13 There always is. CCP prolly have the stats but from personal experience.
In empire...
A few ships lost while learning (maybe 5/6) Around 10 mission ships lost in total Approx 10 ships lost in total to empire wars
In 0.0
3 ships lost to ratting 4 ships lost to 0.0 pvp
That's estimates of my losses. Go figure. By the time people get out to 0.0, they tend to lose ships a LOT less frequently than they did in empire. __ No corp - Taking it easy for a bit |

I'm switched on when I pvp. I tend to do more stupid things vs rats (e.g watch tv and forget to turn reppers on) __ No corp - Taking it easy for a bit |

I would advise to stay docked for the next few days until this mass lawlessnes subsides. I say 2 or 3 days.
Most of the kills I bet are macroers.

most of the kills i've seen have been marco'ers... and if they weren't, they deserve to be podded for there stupidity!
Not going to give away the tactics but i honestly don't belive anyone who isn't marco-mining will fall for it, i mean it's so stupid what they fell for!!!
I think a whole new game play has been invented, macro-baiting

I lost at least 5 ships legitimately in my trial period (and many an Ibis to self-destruction). Haven't lost any in the last 2 months since then, meaning it was a lot easier to get blown up when I didn't really know the game Probably the same for many other newbies.
I still board any abandoned newb ships I find and self-destruct them too. Just doing my part to keep EVE clean! Do self-destructs end up on the map for ships destroyed?

You know if someone grabs stuff from you can they are flagged for your whole corp. Wouldnt be to hard to gank the can gankers.
This is EVE evolution at its best. And I cannot partake of this ambrosia.
Ohh well I'll wh**e the forums.

Also people are loosing ships to the new RMR missions. Some lvl3 missions are now just as har as the old lvl4s, and a few of the new lvl4s are crazy hard.

Go to the mission section here in the forum and read all those whines about lvl2 missions that kill CRUs and rats that paint AFs in lvl3 missions and are eaten by sentries. As after any major changes to missions ppl have to learn what not to do.
And a lot ppl where lagged out in missions. A Raven with a running shield booster unable to warp out can get in serious trouble.

I'm glad you put speech marks around the word 'safe'; I don't remember a time in Eve when any system was actually safe. The word should be included in the word filter so no-one forgets.
Liking the idea of a surge of macro-baiting though. Will be interesting to see how this affects things.

If you want it to be, it is. Any pie-rat that makes it into your turf is going to be hunted by the PKers and the NPCs, while bigger are just NPCs and so you can develop methods to deal with them.
It is only not safe for those who are there without permission of the current landlord.

I am guessing...
1. Macro miners are being killed. 2. A few days old Ibises are being killed. 3. An empire war is going on.
Take your pick. ----------------
