With regards to S******dly's return to empire. (You have been warned)
How gatecamps & raids work, (this concerns YOUR safety & survivability)
Most of the times targets will be locked ,scrambled and shot. Simple as that.
Survivors will be shot again.
There are however some exceptions:
Pilots who fly expensive ships may be asked for a ransom.
Pilots who ask in local to be ransomed before uncloaking. (You will be scrambled)
(IMPORTANT: Stop your engines and propulsion!)
There are exceptions to ransoms though:
Pilots who have warpstabs on will often be reduced to a pod without hesitation. This includes ships such as elite industrials.
If your ship/pod is still moving you will be shot down. (IMPORTANT: Stop your engines and propulsion!)
Most industrials will be shot at sight.
Most frigates/ceptors/shuttles aswell.
Repeated smacktalk won't do you any good. Laughing at smacktalk is to be expected.
"Fanmail" is appreciated.

Why?
Is it fun to sit on a gate waitng for people to come through just so you can shoot them? Piracy is as valid a profession as any other in EVE, but this isn't really piracy is it? You don't give people the chance to ransom, so it's not like you're setting up a toll. You're just griefing, the only purpose of doing this is to give other players a hard time.

You seem to have a highly romanticised vision of piracy. May I suggest you disregard hollywood and the heroic tales of derring-do for a moment and take a look at what piracy actually is/was.
Your ship burned to the waterline, you and your crew dead or captured to be sold as slaves, everything of value collected and safely tucked away in the pirate's holds.
Only if you are special enough that a more profitable deal can be made with you, using funds or goods NOT on the ship in question, would you even get the option to 'parley'.
Pirates, unless they choose to be, are not 'nice', or 'fair', or 'honorable'. They are thieves and murderers and worse.

We've barely had any contact with them yet...
Most of our guys (all 9 of them  ) aren't very active at present because of the RMR crazeh deployment, and the holiday season.
Hopefully the corp will be fully up and running after the holiday season is over.
As for being on topic... Good luck with the return to empire Snigg, you guys belong in low sec, and i'm glad to see you throwing your "alliance" ties away
Oh and just so you know, SNIGG don't need me. They'll always be who they are, which is my opinion is the best low security pirate corp eve has ever seen.
That was the reputation I saw in them when I joined, and it was the reason I did so.
I have fond hopes that they can bring it back

A little note to educate you as to piracy in eve. In the early years of piracy a ship could be boarded. In eve you cannot board a manned ship. They could clear the ship of all valuables. In eve you cannot eject fitted modules. Often times the ships screw were slaughtered and the booty taken just the same way it works in eve. Think for a moment of the game mechanics restrictions before declaring this griefing and not a form of piracy. |

Hey Kage, you should start reading again. I've got a staff of authors who all post different stuff.
EVE-Pirate.com has always posted uncensured stuff, we dont really care if you think that we are evil or bad or bragging.
It's for fun, yet people seem to read what we post and I appriciate that.
Snigg is not related to EVE-pirate.com in no way more than anyother poster is related to eve-pirate.com in the corp he's in.
If you want to join and post your own stuff, you are free to do so. We welcome anyone who's serious about posting stuff.
Stay tuned though, soon I'll launch a more "friendly" project.
Or well.. it's really a revival of an old project which sadly was put into hibernation.

why warn people of your gate camping? if you do it to make money then warning people is not the way to do it. so either you
a) are not in it for the money but rather to grief people, or
b) feel the need to talk yourself up (which would in turn mean you have issues about your self-worth)

Hi there , newbie here, I ve got a question for you :
Is there a lot of people who practice this lame "gatecamping" thing and does the community let these guy get away with this or is there any corp who sometimes take their ships and beat the crap of of these gankers ???
I'm asking because I come from a game where gatecamping was not looked upon very kindly and seen as a really lame way of playing the game.

Generally, we will lock you before you warp. We will bring enough warp scramblers to make sure you don't get away. So even wit warp stabs, if you don't convo before uncloaking you will die.
It's funny the next bit you say as Snigg is probably more known for its belt piracy than its gate camping.
This post is intended to get more people to pay ransoms. Why you might ask? Well it's less work for us, we don't have to wait for things to sell to get our money. But to make ransoming a viable option for our "customers" we have to make it so they lose less isk paying the ransom than just dieing. Now it's your choice if you pay or not, but you will lose less ISK paying our ransoms, than trying to run.
