After RMR, these are still only deployable in 0.0...right?
How about the T2 destroyers? Can they disrupt in low-sec or high-sec?

Edited by: Azuriel Talloth on 19/12/2005 12:04:43 Yes and No, from what I can tell. Though I might be wrong about Interdictors - wouldn't surprise me if they were usable in low sec (if you can stand sentry fire) ________________

t2 destoryers instead of just sucking out of warp can also scramble automatically without another module i believe.
0.0 only as wel hope that helps. CCP please restore the recruitment channel |

t2 destroyers just drop bubbles (r=20km for 4mins), sucking out of warp and scambling is exactly what bubbles do.

They only "suck out of warp" in the distination grid though, right? If I do a 30 AU jump and you set up various camps a long the way, afaik it won't suck me until i'm in the final grid.
I could be wrong though. ¼_¼

yes, they only stop you earlier as you intended.
if you're at full warp speed the bubbles are useless, you'll just fly through them

I thought they projected the warp bubble arround themselves and thus were also effected by it. I didnt think they deployed anything.

There are 2 main types of bubbles now in RMR.
The Mobile Warp Disruptor bubbles everyone is familar with that require anchoring. These bubbles if deployed will affect you only at the location you are dropping out of warp to. They cannot pull you out midwarp.
Any ship inside the bubble (friend or foe) cannot warp no matter how many warp core stabs they have. The only options are to move outside the bubble or destroy it.
Tech 2 destroyers will be able to deploy a new smaller type of bubble. This one does not require anchoring and has an effective radius of 20km, however it only lasts for approximatly 4 minutes and so is temporary. When deployed the bubble acts just like the anchoring kind. No friendlies or enemies can warp inside it's sphere, this includes the destroyer that deployed it, so once again, your only options are to move outside the bubbles influence or destroy it before you can warp.
Given that a bubble of this type works in basically the same way as the anchoring version it's pretty safe to say that it can't be used in high sec space, but that's somthing that somone would need to test and I'm not going to be the one to risk a tech 2 destroyer to find out

The destroyer has a launcher like a covert ops uses for its scan probes. The laucher fires probes but they create a temporary bubble.

Is it instant or is there some delay in these interdiction sphere launcher? I think I already hate these if its insta scamble at gates, since it pretty much made impossible to travel in 0.0 without alt scout.

As far as I can tell I think they work instantly, would make sense since they would be useless if the target was outside the sphere before they went active every time.

Yeah they are fired from launchers, so effectively you can warp scramble anything as long as you can keep it in the bubble (webby).
Hmmm, Interdictor + Cloaking Device, wait for enemy fleet to come out of warp near you, uncloak launch a bubble and MWD out of there as your fleet comes in. These things are gonna be fun ---------

pointless if it only works in 0.0 It would have been nice if it only worked with wartargets when in empire. Dont just complain, do something. Channel macrointel meet with likeminded folks, spottings, intel |
