Fairly new to the game and i have recently trained my way directly to the battlecruiser skill, except for getting my learing and attributes up and picking up some gunnery skills here and there.
I was wondering is somone could post a list of skills that would be good for this profession along with the skill level.
Thanks, Glam.

Here's a few to start with, although it's recommended you train many of them higher than I have listed when you have the time to...
Engineering V Electronics V Energy Management IV Energy Systems Operation IV Weapon Upgrades IV
Missile Launcher Operation V Standard Missiles III Heavy Missiles IV *Missile skills III
Afterburner IV Navigation IV High Speed Maneuvering III Evasive Maneuvering IV
Shield Operation IV Shield Management IV Hull Upgrades III
*This includes Missile Projection, Warhead Upgrades, Guided Missile Precision, Missile Bombardment, Target Navigation Prediction and Rapid Launch

I'd also say Shield Upgrade Lvl4, so you can equip extenders tech lvl 2, and other nice shield boosters, etc tech lvl 2.

Navigation skills are great, no matter what you're flying. You'll definitely want warp drive operation, up to 3 for now, but 5 eventually so you can get jump drives. Acceleration control and fuel conservation help too, that little edge in speed will make a big difference, especially in shaving off travel time, but also little things like getting to cargo containers faster. Basically all the nav skills are good to get.

if you use ferox passive tank you'll need the engineering shield skills. and alwasy use missils if you passive tank cause they use no energy. so heavy missils 4 atleast. work towards T2 heavys and work towards cerberus. 8}

No love for the guns? 250mm Prototypes.
Sharpshooter IV Rapid Fire IV Medium Hybrid Turret IV Weapons Upgrade IV Motion Prediction IV Gunnery V Surgical Strike IV Controlled Bursts IV
Of course, get those to V if you can, but at least IV is easily obtainable (few days, maybe a week max for all those). You should be decent with those. I run Assaults, 250mm Rails and Heavies on my Ferox. Right now with my skills, which aren't as good as what I listed, my Optimal is 65 KM with Compressed Coil Gun I (with Iron). That isn't Uber either.

The Weapon Upgrades skill (under Gunnery) is useful whether you are using primarily missiles or guns as it reduces the CPU requirement of both. If you train it to 5, you open up the Advanced Weapon Upgrades skill which reduces powergrid requirements.

You also might want to get Tactical Shield Manipulation so you can use active hardeners. And once you get it up to IV you can get the specialty shield hardening skills.
