The patch notes for rmr said that nos reduces the effectivness of a npc tank, has anyone seen this effect because i havent really noticed a difference? I put 3 heavy nos on a ceptor rat and he was still sheild boosting alot, took ages too kill even with a webber and light drones.

pre rmr yes, when i NOS'd a rat i saw the shields drop far easier, not ratted post rmr so cant judge. Makes sense tho, if they have no cap, how can they tank?

before rmr nos had no effect on npc's other than it gave you extra cap you must of had a special nos there mate or it was a placebo effect.

I have noticed that NPC's sustain their cap to continue feeding you NOS post RMR. pre-RMR NPC's would run out of cap after a couple of cycles and render you unable to feed your tank off their cap...now they just keep on dishing up the cap for your sucking pleasure.
That which does not kill you, only postpones the inevitable.

I better test is not NOS, but Neutralizers. I doubt NOS's would do that much.

No, he's right and you're wrong. NPCs had limited cap, but did not use any. Battleships only had 400 Cap, so you could only get 4 cycles of a Large Nosf from them, but even after that they continued firing and boosting and MWDing to their pleasure.
That != Infinite Cap.

I would agree with that, i pretty much run my entire tank off 3 heavy nos and 2 named cr's. It can get a bit hairy at times but its quite efficient, the really weak bs spawn that can be tanked with a medium armour rep use so little cap, the guage hovers around 95% too 100%

yup nos is awsome now, not sure if it lets me kill them any faster but it sure keeps my cap nice and full on my domi. I run 3 Heavy diminishings and off most rats I get 2-3 full cycles, then I get partial cycles for the rest of the time. Which is still more than enough to keep my ship going
