So, CCP, since you still haven't fired the incompetent jackass who wrote the pathetic excuse for a launcher, and your updates break pretty much every time anyway (seems like every time the launcher restarts the update process and destroys my installation), and no one even replies to my bug reports.
Is there something I should be doing differently. Should I just save some time and run repair.exe every time there's an update before it throws me into an infinite loop of downloading the same patch? Should I reinstall the game? Should I uninstall the game and cancel my subscription and play Solitare? Is there some kind of log file, voodoo chant, or virgin sacrifice I should send you? |

Uninstall and drop subscription seems like a most obvious solution.

Although I doubt you would put up with buying a car and it not starting .....
Although it happens to me every other patch and it doesn't really bother me that much, I do pay for a service and in paying for that service I would expect at least sometimes to be able to use the service I'm paying for without having to repair the service every other time......

If 999 out of 1000 people manage to click the launcher, then log in, it makes me wonder about the 1/1000 that can't.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Rule of thumb: never install games with a launcher/patcher to locations like %ProgramFiles% where at least admin permissions are needed to write changes.
Otherwise **** ends up in VirtualStore when launched in user context and that tends to break stuff.
Welcome to the blessings of rights management, UAC and VirtualStore in Windows, and incompetent programmers. (Both suck).
Also there was a patch? did not notice it, must be working alright then.
