I'm writting this because I am seeing alot of posts about wanting a roll back and I just wanted to explain why I think there won't be one:
1. I have never seen one; I have been playing eve for the most part since beta, and I don't recall it ever happening (not for lack of people asking)
2. This is an online universe with around 80k different players; the game may be unstable atm, but it will be fixed. While person (A) might be a bit miffed that he keeps getting bumped to the desktop (like me), Group (B) will be extremely annoyed if the 2 day battle they just fought to win an Outpost is undone!, or the 10 hours mining for a ship perhaps?
3. 0.0 is largely uneffected from what I understand.
4. We will probbly get somthing by way of compensation (maby just a day or 2 free but it's better than a poke in the eye with a rubber duck)
This is by far the most unstable I have ever seen eve, but it is also the most populated. Number of players + dodgy patch = bumy ride; try and enjoy the ride, cus the destination is gonna rock
Does my bum look big in this cape? |

0.0 is HUGELY effected. The region of venal/tribute/vale for one is effected. Several systems players continuously get stuck in for 20 minutes at a time and in some systems the lag makes eve unplayable.
Today's hotfix did nothing to aleviate this.

I have no lag whatsoever in the low sec that I'm in. Yay for obscure, unknown agents! -------- "Yet we still hug the dear Deceit" - N. Cotton |

They have made both major software and hardware upgrades and changes for the deployment of the RMR. Reverting them is a lot work and might not happen perfectly either. It wouldn't perhaps run smooth.
People have also anticipated the things by selling, buying and manufacturing special stuff. There might be other things they have done already specific for the RMR. They would have to be compensated.
There would be even more downtimes.
They are on the current problems and they will deal with them. It won't take for long.
Also furthermore many people are liking their playing even as we speak. You just see a lot of worthless whiners on the forums, never mind them.
Rolling back wouldn't solve some problems such as the lag at all. The amount of players simply is increasing, especially for the holidays.
Give up? Never.
