Ok so im training up a skill called weapon upgrades and it doesnt appear to have any affect on the turrest cpu usage. This is seriously limiting my weapon load out. Is anyone else having this problem and can anyone else fix it

yeah unfortunately this problem is a little more extensive than i first anticipated it appears none of the skills that are supposed to reduce cpu, power, cap, needs are having any effect on my ship. So far i have found shield upgrades, weapon upgrades, and energy grid upgrades, not to be working.
oh and stavros dont waste my eyes with having to read your simply remedial comments.

dude i am telling you they work, you are doing something wrong, plain and simple, all the skills have been tested over and over.
Its YOU doing something wrong, not anything to do with the game...
Its ok to admit it, go on, you'll feel better...

Yeah they work fine for me too,
I would advise you to check the skill description. You might be misreading. -

when it talk about cpu usage... it means the cpu and not cap. rather than the cap used when firing the weapon, its the cpu need to fit it in first place. When u show info ona fitted weapon it gives its stats on that ship with your skills - not the generic stats, thus probably why u dont think there is a difference.
some skills increase overall amount of cap for your ship - energy management, and others the cap recharge time - energy systmes operation

As a general rule, if there's some descrepancy with skills and stats, logout and log back in.
The weapons upgrade skill works fine. And its easy.. you buy it, you train it. Once trained, there it is!

I can see that none of you believe what im saying. I am aware that the skill weapon upgrades only takes effect when the weapon is equipped to your ship. It is now on level 3 the weapon upgrades skill and still no effect. I am aware of some skills that dont work on some clients i am just wondering if i have falen victim to this. i have repackaged the ship and also relogged on however this has had no effect

Log it as a bug in game then.

p3rcy: I know what you mean, I have it a lot. Simple solution: Put one or more of the modules on your ship that should be affected by the skill not working. So, if your weapon upgrades skill does not reduce your weapon's CPU needs, put one weapon on your ship (any will do), if your energy grid upgrades skill doesn't reduce the CPU need of your power diagnostic systems, then put one PDS on your ship, etc...
Then, as soon as you have all those on your ship, activate another ship in your hanger, and activate the original ship back. TADAA! Suddenly everything works again.
Seems as if you don't have a weapon on your active ship and relog, then the weapon upgrades skill doesn't work. Same goes for almost all other skills that affect modules (pretty much everything).
If you have only one ship in your hangar, and therefore cannot activate another ship, simply relog with your modules equipped. Does the same, but slower.
Ciao, Aronis!

Just a thought - the stats on the info pages don't seem to reflect your skill bonuses until they're fitted to your ship. Could this be the problem you are experiencing?
Edit: Nope, that's me failing to read the thread properly :)

you need to repackage your ship. Sometimes it seems skill bonuses dont apply especially if ship was not always yours so repackage, reassemble...see if that works.

I often get unexected times when skills stop working. Mainly when I swap from guns to miners then back again. Often meaning I cant get 2 of my guns on where I could before. When this happens I just log out wait 5 mins log back in and they are correct again. "Death Before Dishonor" |

take ALL your modules off your ship. close the fitting window.
reopen fitting window.. pout them back on. see if that fixes it.

cheers guys was really getting to me that little pickle. The only way it fixes for me is to add the weapons swap ships and then swap back again to the ship your fitting out.
once again cheers guys

That's what I call "objective"
and YES, the skill is kinda broken. It DOES NOT work 100% of the time. Sometimes I have to relog to make it work. It is more obvious when you try to fit guns that require more CPU. _______________________________________________
