With the updates to drones, Heavy Drones now wont kill Frigs as fast. Is is simply a matter of really needing to train up my skills or shoulde I be using medium or light drones to hit Frigs now? I find that Nossing or Webbing Frigs has little or no difference to the Damage Output.
Plerase dont hijack this and turn it into a "Winge about Drones" thread. I simply want to know how to adapt to this new change :D
Edit: They seem to be hitting a few Frigs for reduced damage. They'll hit Pith Wreckers, for instance, but they wont even scratch a Webifier or a Kyoukan.

I use heavies on frigs with no problem. Some frigs can outrun them, though, so you'll want some lights and mediums just in case.

I have tried Kinetic Sentry drones against Gurristas frigates and they did NOTHING AT ALL!! They are meant for larger tarets.
BUT when I use all Sentry drones on battleship targets they are quite effective (even with Sentry Drone Interfacing at only 3). Expect to see Domi gatecamps with each Domi taking on a drone role and a tackler to immobilize prey.
BUT you may have noticed some of the other new drone skill descriptions/bonuses will make medium and small drones WAY more effective down the road, even on bigger targets.

I've found heavy drones to be more effective than ever. Stick a webber on, and frigs will pop faster than you can target them. I have noticed though that it's more important than before to make sure you get the racial damage type right. Get it wrong, and you might as well open the window and spit at your target.

Depends on how many you could use before. Absolute max using hammerheads ( highest raw damage drones ) you can get from 5 meds is 160 dps. ( unless you get damage bonus from ship bonus, then it's 240dps )

For npc'ing I found sentry drones a little under whelming...
They were great at killing cruiser spawns, much better than heavy drones.
I didn't try hitting npc frigates, as for Battleships they performed slightly better than Wasps damage wise, but the BS kept moving out of their optimal range.
I think Sentry drones are geared more towards PVP, but I'm sure someone out there will have more success than me at npcing with them.
