I thought it was an average of all corp members standing - but I've heard a few people say that they had 1/2 of their personal standing as their total corp standing, in a one man corp.
So, someone enlighten me so I don't have my corp working on bad information :P

I asked the same question but didnt get a reply. Its NOT the average of all your members or even the average of your members who have standing higher than 0.0. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Edited by: Nightblade on 21/12/2005 18:16:43 From what I've seen, it's based on the average standing of all corp members that have non-zero standing (can be positive or negative). These are the same members who show up when you do 'show compositions'.
Now, it doesn't change instantly, so it will take a while to reach that value. I'm not sure how long it takes, but it does seem to take several days.
Also, if all the people with standings from a certain corp leave your corp, the standings will remain unchanged until someone who's still in your corp gets some.
Hopefully that's right, that's just what I've been able to work out over time.

You are right and it's this brocken way since ages. Everybody who did a mission and didn't carry trough agent whoring until he had 8+ faction standing is bad for the corp because anybody who only has 0.0 isn't taken into consideration.

it is NOT the average, it is NOT half
i have an alt in a one man corp who has been running missions, the standing of his corp is far less than his personal standing

The standing is not calculated, it is estimated to save CPU
Unfortunatly CCP has no real/usable concept for the relations/standings between different entities, which habe more than one member. And so they crippled it 2 year ago.
Sisi/RMR: Corp Standing affecting costs, but wrong calculated !

So then.... the way you are all talking at the moment, it is impossible for a corp to reach the standing needed to build the empire stations that CCP have 'added' as content.
Is this is untrue, someone please feel free to correct it...
....if not, why do CCP advertise content that is ungainable? isnt that against 99% of most countries advertising laws?

It actually is the average, but it uses the average as an asymptote. Given enough time, it will reach the average. I have one standing entry for my corp that no one has run missions for for about 6 months. The average of the compositions is 3.54. Currently, our corp standing is 3.52.
Your corp standing will eventually catch up to your personal standing, but probably won't before you reach 10-standing.

That makes a lot of sense actually because it would force the corp to have a long term relationship and prevents abuse but it's sure ****ing a lot of people off.

it sure is i work for a corp that has been working its ass off on missions for ages just to find we stand **** all chance of getting what we were working for without ejecting half the members.
Looks like we can all go back to high sec mining to REALLY annoy the devs.
