Say you set the sniper rule for 15mins and your auction ends at 22:00 if someone bids say 21:50 the auction is extended by the sniper rule IE 15mins, so the end time now would be 22:15. The idea is, is to stop people making a bid in the last minute and someone else not being able to counter the bid. I think the above is correct but if someone would like to correct me feel free There other verisons of it as well.
Vaar	Posted - 2005.12.22 13:36:00 - [27] A sniper rule basicly stops someone bidding at the last second and winning without giving the other bidders a chance to react. You set it to an for example 10 minutes and if someone bids the auction is extend to end 10 minutes after the last bid. Obviously if the last bid is more than 10 minutes before the auction ends it is irrelevant. At the end of the day it is up to you but a sniper generally helps both buyers and sellers.

For example, an armor kinetic hardener 2 bpo + 20 bill isk or a siege launcher 2 bpo + 15 bill isk They are just examples, but i will only offer you nice bpos worth at least 10-15b each.
