Been bugged by this thing for too long now.
It seems CCP takes pleasure in torturing people with unthoughtful GUI stuff...
Look at this:
For the love of <insert your deity's name>, WHY is there a scrollbar for the dropdown box if the window is always big enough to fit the whole thing?!
Character and System search are the most often used search keys, yet they are not reachable without scrolling the thing!

I have to agree with this. Also, if you click the little down arrow, it scrolls down, and promptly vanishes.
put character at the top, scrap 'exact character' and put system above the others, please.
I've never searched for a region or constellation....

I would be nice to have all drop downs grow to show all items if the window has enough space unless the goal is to slow players down, with more frequently used items higher in the list than less frequently used items. The Lab wizard is another area where combos are too short especially given the limited choices.
In my opinion, in addition to Code Complete, About Face should be required reading by all developers everywhere.

Yes, I was thinking that yesterday... but then decided against posting because even tho it is likely a 2 min fix, ppl would likely cry FIX THE CTDS!!!! or some such not understanting 'enhancements of opportunity' tactics ;)
Ya, please put commonly used aspects at top and near others of similar use! :)
