So I was ratting in 0.4 yesterday. And here this pirate come's into local. I continue minding my own business untill he comes close to me, by then I had allready aligned with a gate so I warped to it. If I read and understand everything correctly the sentry's at the gate would have shot him if he had taken a shot at me. But is this the same with scrambling? As he was starting to lock on me but I jumped before he could shoot (forgot about the sentry's lol).

Warp scrambling is aggressive, so he would have been shot at.

You are pretty good! Most newbies, doesn't know how to alligned to jumpgate when danger arrive.
Sometimes sentries cannot save you. Camping pirates like to tank them or sniping from long range. I got my ship busted in my early days, because I once believe sentries would help me againts two camping battleship.... the reality is not.

Thank you, then I did the right thing to jump  . I'm not that much of a noob (a lot of forum whoring in the last few months), just in PVP I am.

just double click towards your destination point and when u hit 70% velocity -> warp to your destination.

Depending what ship you have go some distance away from the 15km warp like 50km and just mine from there, if anyone warps in check out there ship or just quickly warp out.

Well, makes kind of sence.
If you stop your ship completely it will lose alignment, but you can set your speed to a crawl e.g. 1 m/s and it will stay aligned in the direction you want to warp in. When you need to warp out your ship will already be aligned, although you will still need to accelerate to 70% of your max speed before warping.
