Just letting other people know that since 2 days before RMR's release until now, Player corporate standings in relation to non-player corps as derived from player corp members activities is not updating.
Last time this occured was when the last expansion was released and it was not fixed for more than 4 weeks. Treborc CEO Hellhound Industries. HQ Hilaban System Tash-Murkon Region

Another 2 days go by and this problem is still outstanding.
This issue is a pain due to some agents requiring your corp standings to be a certain value as well as your individual standings. Treborc CEO Hellhound Industries. HQ Hilaban System Tash-Murkon Region

I am sure everyone will be pleased to know that ths problem is still outstanding and petitions to the effect of 'Please fix' have had no replies.
Perhaps this 'Problem' is tohard to fix and giving out 'snowballs' are more important than resolving RMR problem like this and others.

Another DT rolls by with no fix.
Just hope that when this is fixed that the amount of the adjustments are corrected for this extended service failure. Treborc CEO Hellhound Industries. HQ Hilaban System Tash-Murkon Region

Well, as a new player, I must say that this is really making the game suck for me. ~Sighs~ Not sure I'm likely to continue playing, if they won't fix this!
I read elsewhere that this happened with the CW update? And that it took them 4 WEEKS to fix it?!?! Surely, this can't be true?

Yes, I read that, too.
I believe it was in the original post in this thread: Originally by: Treborc Last time this occured was when the last expansion was released and it was not fixed for more than 4 weeks.

Well, du'h! Don't I feel stupid now! :)
Actually, I'm not sure.. but I think I also read it elsewhere... maybe.
Some people are calling this a stealth nerf... but I don't see what CPP would get out of nerfing something as integral as standings.
I mean, just 2 weeks ago, the SP I've put in my C would have me doing good/fair level 2 missions. ~Sighs~ But none of the skills I've increased have made a difference!
IF they manage to fix this, do you think they'll recalculate all of the standings, to make up for this shortfall?

Some people will call anything a stealth nerf. Some people see conspiracy everywhere. Some people just can't accept that sometimes things go wrong - if something happens, there must be maliciousness behind it, and we're the naive ones for not being able to see the sinister truth...
Sometimes I wonder how these people manage to live at all. Still...
No, it's not a nerf. It's just one of those things.
As to what they're going to do to make up for it, I can't really guess. I don't know how much data their systems actually record, so I don't know if everyone's mission outcomes will have been stored. If they have, then I guess they could apply appropriate standings changes retrospectively. Basically if they can calculate the changes based on solid data, I say go for it. Otherwise, I can't see any way to 'estimate' the changes and keep it fair. Some'll change too much, some won't change enough, some might go in entirely the wrong direction. And in that case, speaking personally, I'd rather just sacrifice those changes.

Edited by: Treborc on 28/12/2005 23:28:00 Just so people are aware on what this impacts on.......CLONE JUMPING.
My understanding of how a Player Corps standings is calcualted is this :-
- The corporations standing is calculated as an average of all members individual standings as per recorded in their indivual standings screen un-adjusted by skills.
[*]Corporate standings to NPC corporations and factions are adjusted fractionaly every DT moving slowly towards the 'real average' over time.
The easiest example of this is the player corporations standing to Concord itself.
Corp1 has 5 members with the following concord standings un-adjusted.. 1.10 , 0.45 , 0.05, 0.10, -0.20. Total is 1.5 therefore average is 0.30. Yesterday Corp1's standing to concord was 0.10 therefore after the next DT the standing should increase upwards to the real average of 0.30 possibly having a value of 0.11.
What happens when a newbie player joins Corp1 with a standing of 0.01 is the real Corp1 average drops to 0.25 but due to actual standing being less the next DT should still increase Corp1's standing towards Concord up again to approx 0.12.
All this information that has been used in giving the above example is contained in the knowledge base articles on www.eve-online.com or Dev blogg postings.
What would be nice is this part of the game started working again but untill it does there is no risk of standings being 'Lost' just the length of time that it takes for the DT adjustments to match the Real average values of a Player corps membership.

At last Corporate standings are updating ...... sort of....maybe......during DT
What updated last DT:- All factions and corporations where there was at least one player member with a valid standing with the NPC corporation or faction were updated.
What didn't happen :- Adjustments to factions and NPC corporations where the player corporation has no members with a standing against them. ie a player has left the corporation who was the only one with a standing towards that NPC corp.
There appears to have been no catchup adjustment to standings but at least it is working 'sort of' again.
Threfore it is now possible to watch your corporations standings creep up towards that magical 8.0 that will allow the setting up of Jump Clones in Empire.

**** Update *****
Another DT passes and still there are problems with Corporate standings.
If a member player of your corporation gets a stading for a NPC corp that is not recorded in the PLayers Corporate Political screen....... it does not get added.
This issue also appears to be similar to the NPC corporations that nolonger have any contributor players not reducing or being deleted.
No standing points are lost due to this 'Problem' just if your player corporation is attempting to get a good standing with a NPC corporation or faction since RMR for clone jumping that was not displayed before the patch.... you will not see it there now either, and based on what has happened so far the rate of increase of the your corporations standing to the NPC corporate will be very slow no matter how high the individual players standings are.

The 4 Week milestone has now been reached with this 'Issue' not fully resolved.
No changes as per above posting, come on CCP i know your people monitor this forum and also have petitions regarding this issue, how about some recognition of the 'issue' and a eta for a fix.

**** UPDATE ON OUTSTANDING PROBLEM *****
Just a quick update... there is still a problem with corporations standings to NPC corps and factions int he following areas.
1. NPC corps/factions where the player corp nolonger has any memebers with individual standings does not delete or dimish.
2. NPC corps/factions do not get added to the player corps standings lists if they did not exist before RMR release.
As far as i can tell the other issues with player corps sstandings to NPC corps/factions has been resolved.
