Dear CCP, I love EVE online and I have great respect for all hard working Developers. I have a minor request that would make my life so much simpler. Would you be so kind to add a "Buy Fitting" button? This button would be located at the bottom of the fitting management window and would allow the user to buy directly all lowest-cost-available-items in station. You could go a step further, but this would be a big plus, and display the lowest price for each fitting item available in station. I hope this is not too much effort. Looking forward to seeing this in the next update.
Best regards, Nijiho |

This point has been brought up a number of times. It would be a nice addition. I can imagine, however, that automatically compiling and matching multiple market orders from different sellers could put some strain on the servers.

You beat me to it - and probably more people have - but I was thinking the same... I got it a little more worked out though:
Add a [buy and fit] button to the browse fittings screen, which gives you a pop-up of what the total price of the transaction will be. Once all items are bought for this price they'll be automatically fitted to the ship ofc. And it can also be cancelled when the total-price pop-up is shown. Or, if you want it to be a little more advanced:
- Add a [buy missing and fit] button to the fitting screen. - onClick: Show a frame with all modules not present on the ship nor in the inventory, it's prices and a checkbox next to the modules. (Exception 1) - The checkboxes can be unchecked in case an item is too expensive. It has an [Accept quote] button and a [Cancel quote] button. - onClick accept quote: this will check if all prices are still correct, buy them and fit all items on the ship. (Exception 2) - onClick cancel quote: this will cancel the quote and will not fit the modules on the ship.
Exception 1: Show a list of the modules that can't be bought in the current station. Prompt if the user still wants a quote for the other modules. Exception 2: Give a message that not all prices are up-to-date anymore. Prompt for a new quote/cancel. Go back to step 2 if [New quote] is clicked. This seems highly exploitable. Buy out the market of a specific item then relist it for billions, anyone clicking buy fit is immediately wiped out. |

That can be pretty easily sorted by having a ISK cap setting on the same screen.

yea but server load is huge. Already Jita is being killed by long transaction time nad additional calculation needed to check all the fit items.....avaibility for thosoe item prices - to hard to make it live even if the idea will make life easier

A friend of mine showed me a neat trick: if you drag the fit onto the market quickbar, it'll list all the components in one easily accessible place for quick shopping. That said, I still use the Requisition menu from EVEHQ, which allows me to open the market for each item in turn with one click. |

Sounds like this could use a bit of refinement. Start from any saved fitting you have. When selected it brings a list up of every item in it in station with prices for all of them. Looking something like this Ship Station price Region average price Module 1 Station price Region average price Module 2
and so on Rigs drones and cargo set as a checkable options for this
Note that this can only be set to station range
Hitting accept will buy, assemble, activate the ship, and fit all pieces
Also this will pull from items already in your hangar first |

Dust uses such a feature really well.
If that is really the only issue, then batch the process. Spread the execution of the different buys out over a minute or two, run one order every 5 seconds (which is about as fast as a human clicking as fast as they can). That would not be hard at all, and would allow the player to talk to corp mates or do something else without mindlessly clicking over and over.
Heck, CCP could probably even add a broker fee to make it more costly than buying by hand and people would still use the feature. |

While this feature would be nice, and I would support it implementation, it could (and will be used) to catch far more people out in market manipulations than we currently see in game.
People currently click on over priced (sometimes WAY over priced) goods every day as it is... this will make it far more likely you'll get in a hurry and blow a wad of cash you didn't intent too... especially in the above situation where you are in combat looking for a quick refit to get back into the action.
Not that this is a bad thing, just keep in mind that you'll likely get stung by it at some point in time.
Be careful what you wish for... and all that. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

That's why showing a quote and preferably the ability to uncheck items is key... This way it won't be an easy scam but rather a "got scammed? You should've taken a closer look on the quote"-scam just like it is with contracts

With, what is it nowadays, +/- 50.000 active accounts, the average accounts/player being 2 at the moment, so it's more like 2 minutes * 25.000 * (avg fitting-orders per player) = 50.000 minutes * (avg fitting-orders per player).
I am sure CCP will be able to fix this within 833 working hours, and then I'm not even taking the average fitting-orders per player within the calculation
