Come on CCP pull yourselves together, I barely ever post on here and even more rarely complain but its over a week since RMR and im sat here after 15 minutes of waiting to complete 1 jump, I dont get a lot of time to play atm and waiting 15+ minutes for 1 jump is just laughable.
Get it sorted pls

They need to add a new autopilot function:
- "Avoid 1.0 lag fests"

Only 38 in system ffs, its taken me nearly 25 mintutes to get across the system and who knows what the next jump holds
feel free to lock this topic, Ive had my say for now, but should this happen again I'll be more posts and stuck petitions until its sorted. Server performance atm is totally unacceptable

Is everyone playing EVE on their toaster or something?
I have an aging box with a 3.2gig P4 and 2 gigs of ram, an overclocked 6800GT and a cable modem connection. Hardly Alienware-caliber gear, yet I experience only occasional hiccups.

Haven't had any significant lag after RMR weekend either. Guessing some nodes might still suffer a bit of overload now and then. Sounds like any remaining lag should be fixed soon as the new cluster arrives Read the devblogs ppls

I dont get it.
yesterday, I had to do a 25 jump trip, thats 50 jumps to and back..
I didnt have any lag like that at all, at the very worst I had a lag spike that lasted about 5 seconds.....
What server are you guys on?!

I have no idea how the cluster works but I'm fairly sure lag is just on a few servers if you are unlucky enough to connect to them.
The first few days where super bad and I don't think any one can disagree with that but it seems fine for me now most of the time.
Mind you I have been in a system with only 10 players for the last 2 days.

You're not alone mate.
I trotted down from Jita to Ours a couple of hours ago without any problems at all (as usual). Now I am getting stuck at every gate since Suroken on the trip back.
Clearly nothing wrong at my end as CCP have been having to "unstick" various non-hub systems from day to day since RMR deployment.
Hope tonight's issues get fixed soon please.

That's aging?
I have a 1.7GHz P4 with a gig of ram and a Ti4200, and I rarely suffer through the stuff I read about here.

It definitely is not our comps. I have an old piece of crap box, 1.6ghz and FX5200 video card (basically the worst possible card on the market that is supported by all the newest games) and I very rarely, if ever, see any lag. My secret? Amarr space!
Anyway. I do get lag sometimes while traveling in certain systems. I stay far away from Caldari space and systems like Jita and Soruken because those are guaranteed to be a slow crawl from gate to gate, but even down in Amarr space I will occasinally get a system that takes 5 minutes to make a jump (even if there is only four players in the system).

I got to agree with you Tactician, this is just pants. I now play with about 20 second lag so although it has added an extra challenging dimension to game play it fustrates rather than engages. I now start shield boosting before I enter gate and stop on arrival. The major challenge is it now takes about 2mins to load launchers so some missions now take a long long time anbd that is is systems with less than 30 players in.

It fluctuates a great deal for me. In some systems, it's just horror. In others, no real lag. ---

I know that was sarcastic, but its actually a great idea could be role played into the game that atuo pilot cannot navigate to systems with high gravitational disturbances due to large numbers of ships there, in code just set a flag if population of system exceeds certain ammount flag it as autopilot avoid.

its simple really guys... move to 0.0. the closest empire system to me is probably a good 40+ jumps and guess what.... hardly ANY lag. maybe an extra 10 seconds here or there to jump a gate but i see no other lag than that.
