How can i get by the bugg where i'll logg in and after i have chosen my character to log in with, it will say Entering game with so and so...........And then nothing ever happeneds. Tried restarting game and computer and still does the same

I think I'm having the same problem. I go through the login, choose character, then it stops on "Entering game as Adoran Wa'alle". I've tried rebooting, restarting the game, rebooting again, but nothing works. And I was in the middle of joining a guild

C Drive > Program Files > CCP > EVE > Cache. Delete everything in that folder then open the game and log in. It will do things like ask for the agreement and start the tutorial up but that is because it is getting rid of all the saved things. This helps me alot but sometimes it doesn't. Then again it never actually messed anything up of course.

Im having the same problem and ive cleared the cache. Still cant log in.... Any other ideas?

Same issue here. I had just jumped and the game locked up on me and I had to close it down and try to reload. But when I get to "Entering game as Rowgue" it just sits there not doing anything but playing the backround music forever.
Help!!!

same issue here.. game pretty much froze mid-jump (might have been new caldari, wasn't paying enough attention to autopilot but in the region).
None of the game info was updatign or retrievable so I quit and tried to relog.
I am stuck at the load screen after selecting my character.
I have been able to log in the other characters on the account, but I don't need to access those.. its the frozen one I need to use. |

This just happened to me as well. I'm guessing there was a glitch in the server just now that caused people in mid-jump to crash out. Hope someone knows how to fix this.

Happening to me too
I think that its a lag issue, but I'm way out in Khanid region which hasnt ever really experienced the lag problem most people have... *shrug*
Hope my ship isnt in space sitting defenseless while im tryin to login!

same problem.
I logged in an alt and tried to petition and that is broken. So I went to the website and tried that and that did not work.
So I cancelled my account.
That worked.

It seems to be specific characters that are cursed with an inability to log on. My main cannot log on at the moment - I just get the 'entering game as..' hang - but alts can log on relatively easily.
It's an odd one.
By the way, I didn't cancel my account. I guess I just don't believe in giving up at the first sign of a problem...

Had the same problem a few minutes ago. Logged in with an alt and sent in a pettition. Got some fast, effective service. GM moved my stuck character and all is well now... well, except for some horrible lag.
Me thinks the server needs a boot to the head.

I don't believe in quitting at the first sign of a problem either Khalii. Can you seriously be saying this is the first sign of a problem with this game?
The first MMOGs had pretty bad lag issues but most of the ones which have been released in the last few years have had only minor problems of this sort.
Not only does Eve have lag problem, it is just horribly unstable in general. I have not seen problems this bad ever except for the first few weeks of anarchy online.
This game is unplayable in its current state.

Yeah clearing Cache does not work with this when you get stuck while jumping and logg out to then find you cant logg in again. I even got UNstcuk by sending in a peition, to then find out that when i tried to jump through the same jump gate i got stuck again (only jump gate to where i am heading).. The best part is, my peition for the first stuck is still active so i can't send in another one to get unstuck for a second time.. Great stuff, no game playing today! Hurray for RMR!

Same problem here.
Says they hot fixed right around the time this happened. It would be nice if we had a little warning before they decide to hotfix or take down the server. I know they have the ability, I have seen it before. Any good admin lets his users know when the server is going to be taken down or might go haywire.

A) They fix it permentaly and !!!!!!!!FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
B)Get more GM's to "un-stick" us
C) Mabye even say a offical WORD to use? Instead of leaving us the players to figure this out on our own.
If they don't do anything about it, im sure there going to lose Alot of members.

Pretty much, yeah. As far as I recall there was a bit of an update a while ago that introduced a few bugs which were more or less ironed out within a week or two. (I certainly recall all the same bleating about the font - amazingly we've now got people whinging that that old 'new' font was much better...) Other than that, I've only ever had the sort of problems I'd expect from any MMOG - occasional lag and crashes - especially one that gets such heavy usage of a single gameworld.

EVE is by far one of the most stable and reliable online games I've seen. And I've played quite a few. I'd certainly take EVE any day over the likes of SWG and EQ. Funny old world, innit?

Yah well this is sort of getting old.... Been playing EVE on and off since Beta and I think This time they really broke the game. I love EVE, but hate it's BS at patches. Maybe it's an Iceland thing :)Kidding 0_0
I just paid my EVE bill too.
