This auction is for 1 Skiff Elite Mining Barge.
The Skiff is the smallest of the second generation of mining vessels created by the ORE Syndicate. Exhumers, like their mining barge cousins, are equipped with electronic subsystems specifically designed to accommodate Strip Mining modules. They are also far more resilient, better able to handle the dangers of deep space. Skiffs are specialty vessels, designed to mine Mercoxit.
Mining Barge Skill Bonus: Able to equip Strip Miner and Ice Harvester turrets. 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level
Exhumers Skill Bonus: 70% bonus to Mercoxit Mining Crystal yield multiplier and 20% reduced chance of gas cloud forming per level

- 5 minute sniper rule applies.

I have been told that this mining barge should be easily able to mine mercoxite twice as fast as any other ship ingame. If i am wrong I'm sure someone will update us in this thread.

Guess you posted right before I edited the original post to contain a starting bid. Starting bid is 50 mil. Bid increments are 1 mil.

I will have 2 skiffs coming out of the factory at around 25:00 IGT on 2005.12.23. I will escrow the first one to the winner of this auction from the Alenia V - Moon 4 - Roden Shipyards Factory station.

Do you know if each level of t2 barge has a diffrent crystal bonus and if so do you know what the other 2 types are? or are t2 barges specificaly aimed at mercoxit havesting?

Mackinaw has 3% reduction in Ice Harvester duration per lvl
Hulk has 3% better mining yield and 3% reduction in ice harvesting duration :)

Exhumers Skill Bonus: 3% better yield for Strip Miners per level and 3% reduction in Ice Harvester duration

Think we need to not be silly about this.
Im going to sit back for a bit and see what this ends up going for.. can i ask what the construction cost of the ship is ? its tech 2 and specialised so im prepaired to pay a fair amount.. but i have to bare in mind that this auction will likely settle the "going rate" for the ship at present.. so again i say.. lets not be too silly about this.

The build requirements for this ship are easily attainable by looking up the blueprint on the ingame market.
I actually believe that this auction will NOT set the going rate for the ship. I set this auction up so that someone could get their hands on one of these excellent Mercoxit mining ships before the crowd. That would allow them to sink their teeth into the roids before anyone else with such a fury evekind will never be able to catch up to their market domination.
Enough marketing junk from me.
AFAIK This is the first auction for this ship on these forums. My only intention is to put it out there for someone to get a jump on the competition. There will be many more auctions and ships going up for sale on the markets or escrow in the days to come. But if you want one of the first of this ship .. bid away and sink your strip miners into those roids NOW!

This ship is much better than the hulk for mining Mercoxit. If I had access to 0.0 space I would love to own this snip. |
