This is probably the single most important question anyone can raise in a "which mission ship is better" thread. I'd help out with some mission completion times but I'm :broke: and don't even own a Gallente BS.

Ed: I have to admit I'm somewhat meh to the idea of running missions with a rail ship before Crucible hits with that Rail boost. |

I think the chief advantage of an AFK Domi is that one can run two accounts and just let the Domi generate income on the alternate account, even if it's slower than a Mach or Nightmare. |

I've done this with a Vargur (0.0)/Tengu (low sec) and it does work pretty well. I remember a long time ago I came to the conclusion that the Domi was better than the Raven but not equal to the CNR or Tengu. I'm really curious whether the Navy Domi improves on it, but getting the willpower to run missions is just a bit much. :P

Same here. I don't even like FW missions and they're money machines. Still, if one's not otherwise using one's alt, putting it in a Domi to AFK mission or even AFK mine is better than just leaving him to stare at The Door(TM). |

FW missions are just as grindy as normal missions to me. It seems that when I sign on for a round of FW missions its like signing up for 2+ hours of flying 80+ jumps through Minnie low sec. Boo to that, TBQFH. I think the best (read: least grindy) ISK I've ever had in Eve has come from C3 WHs when I was running Parsec. Then again, I was banned from high sec so the consistent 200-300M raw ISK/hr I hear about from Incursions isn't really available to me.
Meh, either way - I'm looking to get back into the WH Pirate lifestyle. :)

It's very easy to fit, and very easy to use. It can be used effectively with low skills, and gets better and better as your skills progress. Unfortunately, it's not very engaging to fly. As Liang said, rails are a VERY real part of the DPS equation on L4 misssions. If you think they don't contribute much to overall DPS then you're not being realistic whatsoever.
You're wrong about the Hype. It's not a joke. You're comment about the Rails being a joke for EFT warrioring, makes it pretty obvious you don't know much about gunboats. If you have any real evidence to support your claim that the Hype is a joke, you should probably produce-it. As-of right-now, you're the joke.
It's funny how some people just jump into a thread and post something without reading the thread first. 50% of this thread was about how the Hype is actually WAY better than people give it credit-for. Most of the people who say it sucks are just parroting what they have heard other people say.
Hype is very much a joke when it comes to lvl4s. Notice the name of the thread "Gallante l4 ship comparison." It has 6 lows, that's instant fail for lvl4 right there. Add 3 hardners and a LAR, and there's 2 lows left for magstabs. Effective pve is more strict on ship fittings, while pvp can vary much more and still be workable. It's pretty bad for pvp too, just because of blaster BS and tier 3 price tag, and that domi is there as alternative.
I can't tell you how frustrating it is to keep repeating myself over and over... Like Marc said, READ THE DAMN THREAD! If you are too lazy to read the thread before you post, don't bother posting!
I have already explained at least twice (in this thread) to people why the Hype's 6 lows aren't "instant fail". I'm not going to attempt a brief explanation specifically for you because you're too lazy to read the whole thread. Go read page 1 and 2 (at least), then come back when you can intelligently discuss the matters at-hand. |

Navy Domi is not really anything special. I have one and like it, but considering the lesser rig calibration it underwhelms. Now if you plan to pay attention to it as your main ship it is possible to fit it to put out a little more damage than the regular domi (maybe more so with the new hybrid stats). |

I have a few different mission ships in my hanger but use one Gallente ship in particular for Serpentis misisons. These times are from pressing undock to docking and are kill all rat not blitz times, I am not saying they are Mach Speed but just interested if people get around the same give or take a few minutes. I want to know if I am a huge margin out. I was pushing quite hard for these times but even when not I am normally only five minutes or so slower, Oh and I did use faction ammo as well.
The Assault (Serpentis)-38min The Score (Serpentis)-18min Massive Attack (Serpentis)- 25min Duo of Death - 5min The Blockade (Serpentis)- 28min Serpentis Spies - 8min Serpentis Extravaganza - 30min Vengence (Serpentis)- 28min Worlds Collide (Serpentis) - About 35-40min for Serpentis side and then a further 15min to backtrack and kill the Guristas.
No one have any thoughts regarding misison times at all, not even they are ok or I roughly do those in half an half an hour/hour or even half the time? |

They seem really high to me. Last time I made a comment on mission times, I said that most missions were in the 5-15 minute range while the absolute longest missions were up to 25 minutes.
