I didn't realize how many retarded people we have playing this game. Everyone knows that around 2 weeks after the patch is when people actually are able to play somewhat normally again. This was a HUGE content patch and as far as I know a huge hardware upgrade for CCP themselves. Give it another week then start *****ing, until then STFU nOOb!

Now you should know by now that spelling isn't important these days. What matters is how you express your feelings. Spelling is just SO last year.

We know CCP don't have 20,000 play testers in iceland to do this offline.....
I am not going to continue it's been covers a thousand times over on a thousand different posts, read the Dev Blog also, it gives you an insight on what to expect and when. (i.e don't hold your breathe for new hardware their end anytime soon and hope their continual work smooths things out for you and I.)

CCP are a thousand times better than SOE Devs. Give the guys a break, at least they test new content before letting thier player base beta test it. Unlike SOE did with the NGE. SOE could never pull off a online game like this, only proffesionals are cappable of online games of this size. Kiran-" Damn where did that pirate go?" There are many things CCP can can do - but is unwilling to. For instance, more thorugh testing. They simply do not do enough. They have not implemented RMR - and are talking about Kali content.
Recently - CCP admitted that their clusters are at the ceiling, and they are not getting any new hardware anytime soon. Yet, the first half of their website is dedicated to get more people on line - to clog up their clusters. Why is CCP still trying to get people into an already too-crowded game that CCP does not have the QA or hardware to support?

Is that really neccessary? I think you could get your point across without resorting to insulting people that are understandibly frustrated with the game right now. Forunately for me, I have experience with SWG and WoW prior to this game and so I understand what is going on. It will take a couple of weeks to straighten things out. It is still frustrating though. You also can not tell me that CCP did not know this was going to happen. Just look at your log in screen for the game. It says, "Set long skill training". That tells me that they knew they were putting out a product that was not quite ready. Yes, I think that they are doing everything possible to fix everything as quickly as possible. However, I also believe that they should look a those issues and compinsate players that have lost ships, pods, or skill training time. I will not suggest a form of compensation. that is for CCP to decide. Once again, it is not neccessary to insult the other players in your responses to their posts. If you cant post anything constructive or helpful then dont post. Not everyone wants to read your insults and inane replys to people that are just expressing their frustration with the situation.

Hmm... The truth is that very, very few posts made recently have been constructive or helpful. True, they haven't all been abusive in nature, but if your argument is merely that they must be helpful or constructive the majority of recent whiny posts should also be disallowed. Most of them are simply endless reiterations of the same old problems, most of them aren't at all reasonable or objective. The OP here falls into that category, given that it offered no help and consisted of 30-40% angry faces.
The principle goes both ways. I don't particularly want to read an interminable cycle of spoilt-brat bleating. I happen to think that the majority of that is "inane" - but there's plenty of it, in amongst the helpful suggestions and constructive criticism. If I actually say that, of course, it's immediately pointed out to me that everyone has the right to complain if they want. Which is true. But by the same token it also means that you don't have the right to command people not to post just because you don't agree with the content of their posts.

My complaint is that there is no need to become abusive of the individuals that post their complaints. If all you are going to do is insult others then dont post. While I too do not like reading all the, "Wo is me." posts, there is no appropriate reason for others to insult the original poster. This is, "Courtesy 101" here. In addition, I did not, "Command" others to not post. I suggested that they do not post if all they had to say were insults. If I was not clear on this then I apologise. I also agree with you that recently very few posts have been constructive helpful. I also am a believer in the right to say what you want, when you want. But my rights end at the tip of your nose and vise versa. If all you have to say are insults and abusiveness towards my post, then take it elsewhere. You are right that the priciple goes both ways, but we must respect our neighbor and their opinions. If you have something helpful to say or even unhelpful, then say it. Just keep the personal attacks and insults out. If we can't do that then we are no better then a bunch of barbarians and do not desrve the title of, "Civilized".

CCP have something called a test server where players can help test the game. This patch was tested if it wasn't you would not even have server crashes. The main problem with testing a game like eve is you can make 20000 Virtual players to do one action on the game to stress test it but you have every one doing different actions at once when it goes live. When these different actions are used together you can be left with odd bits of code being generated these little software bugs are the main reason for lag. The reason they become so large are 20000 people play eve so is little bug on top of little bug. Times that by a few million times and the server will slow down.
Eve is moving to 64bit servers which will help with the problem of lag. You have to remeber this game started in 1997 when 64bit processors were no more that a drawing on a beer mat. WoW has the advantage of being designed on a 64bit system. The code used in Eve is being remade to fit this. They have done a great job at fixing problems in the past. They hotfixed 28 server side bugs today. Please read the news.

And frankly what I would really like to do is tell the whiners to grow up. I'd like to tell them that acting like a few days, even a few weeks, of problems with a computer game is somehow ruining their lives makes them, as I said, spoilt brats who should learn to be grateful for what they've got. And if they really can't bear it then there's plenty of other ways to waste time - which is, after all, all any computer game amounts to. I'd like to tell them all that in nice strong terms that might just stand a chance of registering with them. But I choose not to express myself like that - others might choose differently. Until they cross the forum mods they can say what they like how they like. I can't tell the whiners not to whine, and I can't tell anyone not to be abusive. Quote: If all you have to say are insults and abusiveness towards my post, then take it elsewhere.
If you thought my response to your post was abusive and insulting then I apologise and will read through my messages more carefully next time. Quote: we must respect our neighbor and their opinions. Fine - if that had been what you'd said initially I'd never have disagreed. Except to say that while I would try to respect everyone, I don't necessarily have to respect their opinions. Quote: If we can't do that then we are no better then a bunch of barbarians and do not desrve the title of, "Civilized".
I'm not entirely sure we do deserve that title - but that's down to my issues with modern society...

I did not feel that your post was abusive or particularly insulting. I was trying to express myself in general terms about posts that have been made in the past. While I am a fairly good writer of official reports, I seem to have trouble expressing myself in an accurate manner on the forums. Thats probably because I write and rewrite my reports till I get it right.

See my earlier comment on how I am not clear on what I mean sometimes. My apologies on that.

Incredible!! Incredibly stupid of you to say that. Put brain in gear before engaging mouth. It will come out much better. CCP is a super outfit, and they do communicate with the players, and all you can do is b***h. Go away.

Please refer to the first two days of WoW in the EU.. 15000ms ping ftw
Expansions and grave changes to code that hasn't been tested on the pressure of 20k people at the same time = problems, nothing to even argue about

Ahh another player1: CCP sucks, player2: stfu N00b CCP rocks, thread. I wonder why all threads that start as CCP SUCKS get locked as the CCP ROCKS ones live on?
Personally I'm done complaining about it, but I have found something that makes me feel better about it (a little). And that's the new content in RMR. So I guess it boils down to live with it or leave.
Quoteing someone on the forums (sorry don't remember who) goes like this Step 1... Cry a river Step 2... Build a bridge Step 3... Use that bridge to get over it
I'm sure they'll get around to fixing everything, unfortunetly it'll probly be a week or so before the next big patch.
P.S. Not flameing or trolling, just stateing my opinion

Just a thought, but maybe the company prefer being praised to being abused? And besides, since I can still post here it doesn't look as though this 'CCP sucks' thread has been locked yet. From what I've seen they tend to drop on threads that don't actually have any content aside from recycled whines that've been done a thousand times before and add nothing to anyone's lives. I may be wrong.
