Eve currently uses around 140mb of ram, i have a gig of ram, this value for eve uses continues to grow, and after a few hours of play, i have to restart as its using 998mb of ram, and i cannot play at all as performance decreases to 1fps or so. Now on my spare computer, i have 512mb, now i just got a run time error for memory, i had task manage open at the time and it was using 413mb, and the virtual memory kicked in, about the time this error occurred. So i loose my ship and pod with a full set of implants.
Why doe eve continuely use more ram, the vuffer size on prefs.ini says 80mb. Plz help I like to kill people

Some people are reporting this as a memory leak, meaning that the client software isn't clearing out unused memory properly and so its process size just keeps expanding. It's not happening to everyone - I can't seem to make it do it - but it's undeniably happening to quite a few. Given the number of people complaining, I'd assume it's something that CCP will be sorting out, and until then just I'd suggest you just plan regular restarts into your play.

Been happening to me, and some others I know. The client also causes alot of crashes. For what all the CCP Fanboys talk about CCP not being able to test server things, the client is certainly one thing than can be tested.

Yes I as well have seen my 1.5gb of memory fill up over time when playing Eve, Thou I do have this memory clean out program running. So I don't need to restart my PC but one time i had to, i was watching Eve memory increase when i was in my Task Manager.

I'd like to report that I'm having this same problem. There definitely appears to be a huge memory leak somewhere. My main PC has 1gb of RAM, and I find that after some time the game takes up almost a gig by itself, forcing me to force the program to exit. Thankfully I've been in highsec space when I've had to bail, but this is eventually going to be a problem.

Same problem here. 1Gig, after 2-3 hours, takes 5 seconds to loot 1 item from a canister and about 1+ minutes to dock. Reboot everything is fine for a while. Lucky I have not lost anything yet.
