I've been reading a lot on the differences between each racial blockade runner and learned a lot, but now I want really, really specific discussion.
This is for null sec and/or high value low volume cargo. Either can have 2 warpstabs and mwd for the unlucky decloak (not a thread about tactics). And of course rig & high slot are equal
So the differences I'd love to hear views on are:
1 more low slot for 4 warpstabs, or 2 stabs 2 nanos Small variance in mass 500m3 cargo 1 more mid slot for a little more shield tank (or ECM, either way it's a last resort slot)
TLDR: Which do you prefer for speed/agility/slipperiness/anti-tackle, ; purely from a ship stats point of view.

Erm. No, they both can. They just have those deceptive names. Viator is the Gal cloaky and Prorator is the Amarr cloaky.
Honestly? They're pretty much the same. I happen to like the Viator for the extra mid but I couldn't really put a reason on why. |

Less than 500m3?
A Purifier with cargo expanders will hold about 540m3 and is a lot cheaper, plus most people won't take a second look at a bomber on dscan whereas a transport is like ringing the dinner bell. Also don't forget the cloaked and nullified T3 for small high value runs. |

I think 500m3 was the difference, not the total.
Obviously if you can fit everything in a nullified T3 it's the safest option. But if you want a bit more, yeah, BR. |

Been there.. a lot lately.
As to the OP: I also like the Viator but can't really pin down why. Tank is not an issue for me, because in my mind, if you get tackled, ur dead no matter what. I have only lost 1 ever, and that was because of a bubble, not a fast lock.
I do like the fact that Viator means you have qualified for the Iteron V, Largest of the t1 class haulers. |

All you care about is Cargo Space and Agility. If you get bubbled, only the incompetence of the enemy will save you, your choice of hauler and modules does not matter. More cargo is good for obvious reasons, and faster align is good as you spend less time aligning each jump; wont save you in a bubble, very low chance it will save you against a no-buble decloak attempt (which usually fails regardless) and a moderate chance to save you when pursued through a gate by a dictor, which is pretty rare. (so still extremely rare that it will save you). It used to be that you went Gallente for the Itty 5, and then just took their covops transport for the reduced skill train, but with the hauler skill change, it really doesn't matter anymore. |

I thought in the case you did hit a bubble, you turn and burn mwd overheated and try to get out before an interceptor points you. So I thought warpstabs could buy time. Which is why I'm considering the prorator for more low slots.
I haven't hit a bubble yet myself so I appreciate the advice from experience. |

A good camp should have a scout, so they see you coming.
Almost every camper there would have a point unless he is a snipe/range kind of fit, or another supprt role. |

I have a prorator that has an ECM burst that saved it's life once. Have had it for 2 years and the worst I got in was a bubble. The cynabal was right on top of me, I aligned out, pressed the ECM burst and warped away. I think that, save for a 15-20+ man gatecamp, you should be safe every time if you use bounce points in heavily-transited areas and pay attention, no matter what ship. pâ+(*GîÆGêçGîÆ*)n+ë pü+(pé£GêçpÇü-¦)pü+ (GùòGÇ+GùòG£+) |

Prowler for WHs, no contest. For null, either Prorator or Viator will do, as both can get 10k cargo with cargohold expanders + T1 rigs. Crane needs T2 rigs, while Prowler can't get it at all.
Tldr: it doesn't matter, pick any of those two. My own alt usually flies the Prowler, just because it's an awesome little ship. Not like I'm carrying cruisers around all that much anyway. |
