Hi all,
I thought procurement let you place remote buy orders. I have at level 2 and according to description that lets you place buy orders up to 5 systems away. I was 2 systems from where I have an existing buy order and wanted to add another one in that system. No can do. It seems to only let me place a buy order in the system I am currently in at a station of my choosing (while in space) - not at a station any jumps away.
What gives? Do I need to keep training it up?

maybe I don't understand (and probably don't) but did you try to place the buy order while you're in space? if you're in a station i believe it only lets your place an order at that station.

Yes, in station only lets you place in station. I thought procurement meant I could place up to 5 jumps away in station of choosing. Seems at level 2 to only let you do it in your current system which is not matching the description unless I am reading something wrong.

If you just finished the training to level 2, you need relogin. With Procurement Level 2 you should be able to set buy order with Station radius in station up to 5 jumps away from you. It works. To raise remote buy order's radius, you need Visibility skill.
BTW it shows your current market orders capabilities under list of your orders (lower right corner), in Wallet or in Market. "Your Orders" is name of the window I think.

Aha, so it is the visibility skill that I am looking for. Yes, on closer read the procurement skill not quite the same. Thanks for that....shame visibility is such an expensive skill.

With procurement you can place remote buy orders, but you can't choose system and station by your own.
The item you want to remote buy must already be for sale in the station. Right click -> buy this. Click advanced and you have ordinary buy window there you can set price, quntity, duration and range.
Without procurement skill, duration is immediate and range is station. Nothing in drop down boxes to choose from.
