Dude, name it Drake. There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

I started writing a snarky reply about heartless fathers, but then I started thinking about all the spoiled cancers on society caused by overly indulgent fathers. Now I'm all confused; thanks a lot. |

I think there needs to be a 50/50 between beating your children and showering them in ludicrous amounts of cash...

C&P if filled with all the people who play how they really want too. We are who we are and we are either loved or hated for it. My wife loves me very much but does seem to get angry when she complains about being pregnant and all that, I always respond "not my fault" .. almost lost a monitor that way... |

For maximum benefit to the child in middle and high school, her name should be "Large Collidable Object."
Don, I've had 3 kids, and nothing my wife and I ever did together could have resulted in what I was forced to witness when they were born. So stick to your guns about it not being your fault. Also, certain people will try to convince you that the man has some sort of vital role to play in the delivery room. Those people are called liars. What has been seen can't be unseen.
Congrats on the baby, the disreputable security status... but mostly the baby.

Another vote for Large Collidable Object. Nearly snorted Pepsi all over my work laptop reading that.
But on a more serious note, my favorite fiction-inspired names for a daughter both come from the Wheel of Time series of books, Mierin and Cyndane. (Both actually refer to the same character, at very different points in her character development).

I am surprised the wife didn't suggest these names, Wheel of Time is one of the few fantasy series she had read and enjoyed. More of a Terry Brooks fan myself. ALSO,... large collidable object is... oh god no. She did see the Piper toon yesterday and start yelling at me |

You can't call a girl Piper.
Imagine the chat in 18 years time.
" Hey, who is that hot chick?"
"Piper?"
" Yes I would, but what's her name"
Bad Idea.... may I suggest Megathron, has a hard hitting ring to it, don't you think? |

never heard piper as a sexual term but I can see it, I can imagine a girl named Megathron. The wife wanted to name it Merrick if it was a boy and all I can think of is yugioh abridged and calling everything Steve... :D |

When picking a name for our daughter I had to disallow many of those offered by my wife because they were too easily turned into euphemisms for sex. She was also stunned to learn that just about any girl's last name can be used to reference her breasts.
We went with Mydaddyknowswheretoburythebody for her name. Its kinda long, but I think gives the right impression. I have 5 different chars that I play. This may be my main, or maybe not. I have no idea. |
