How does this skill work?
I have level 4 of it and im sure the drones are putting in my cargo same amount of ores as without it.Maybe they mine faster , same amount but more often they turn?Or maybe its just bugged:)?

The mining drone skill is "somewhat" bugged. What does that mean?
The description is wrong. If you Show Info on the skill the description will say that it gives bonus to mining amount, BUT if you go to the Attributes tab on the skill, you will see that the bonus is actually:
miningdronespeedbonus
-5
So that means the bonus is actually applied to the mining drone's speed. Now, whether or not that means each mining session takes less time, or the travel speed for the drones is increased, I don't know. All I know is that it definitely does NOT give a bonus to the mining yield per trip.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but a GM in the help channel told me yesterday that this skill is bugged/not working.
It should add 5% to mined ammount per drone per level (not the speed bonus to the mining cycle of the drone  ) as suggested above.
No word on when they will fix it though

If its true this is really annoying.I understand problems and bugs but to me it seems not a big problem to fix a skill bug .I mean its a question of a simple mathematic operation somwhere.Maybe i dont understand something,but please CCP do your best.Its quite annoying to train a skill 1 week and find out it does exactly ... nothing.

Petitioned it yesterday, no reponse yet though.

This is the official reply:
"This is a known bug and hopefully this will be fixed soon. The developers are currently working on this and we hope to have this fixed in the next patch."

Of course not. Everything like that is serverside, they still change it at patches.

Go work in the software development industry for a few months, then come talk to me about "simple" fixes.
Nothing is simple in a project of this magnitude. Changes must be discussed/approved, implemented, tested, retested, and then scheduled for introduction via a patch.
Any "quick fixes" are just going to end up introducing more problems than they alleviate! Give the development team time to do things CORRECTLY.
Patience is a virtue.

Actually im a programmer:)
In databases related software.In our library we use scripts to code arithemetic operations ,to ease its modifications and its usually a question of 10 minutes for me to find and modify something that counts wrong.

Eve is much bigger and much more complicated then anything i have been in touch with,but still mining drone skill is constant multiplier ,thats the whole thing.
But like i said maybe im wrong and i dont understand something,just hope CCP will fix it soon.
