You kill a guy jumping through in his Drake. boom (8 second lock time)
The guy's pod is effectively dead already... but CCP forces you to go through a 32 second lock time to get his pod.
Waste of gameplay and really not helping anyone. Good point! Make EVE better for pod pilots, and give pods interdiction nullification. |

This makes me wonder.
How long does it take an instacane to lock a pod?
Also, is there a cap for how long it takes? We know that the granularity for anything in Eve is 1 second, but the longest lock time I have seen for say a case where a gimped BC (having a cloak) takes 30 seconds to lock a drone, could there be a longer lock time? |

The OP has 60 theoretical bubbles up, which means about the only way he won't lock the pod from a battleship is if the owner immediately started burning back to the gate *before* losing their ship. In which case, they shouldn't lose their ship to a solo bs in the first place.

tl;dr learn to battleship.
there's a whole movie about it. You may gain the knowledge, but you will lose your belief, with all its mystery and comfort. If there was proof, absolute and certain, there is an afterlife, why not quit this life, and be done with it? Ponder about these things all your life, and you're a philosopher. Compress these ponderings into a couple of pages, and you'll go mad. |

Waste of gameplay and really not helping anyone.
Suggestion: Have bubbles do "pulsating" damage to pods, so after 3 or 4 second they explode while in bubble, granting a kill mail to the folks who killed their ship.
Another alterantive would be to greatly increased the sig radius of pods, they are insanely small, 400m sigrad would solve the problem and not really affect the pod's survival much at all.
Finally, it takes lots of effort to anchor 60 bubbles on every gate you camp, and too much effort to take it down every time.
I suggest buffing the T2 Large Disruption bubbles to cover the full 250km radius so one could cover the whole grid.
Why are you gate camping with no sensor boosters? "But my favourite visual experience in Eve was a pipebombing run on a digital projector. Sure, the aliasing can never match the perfection of a 2160p image - but you can't beat a five metre space volcano on your wall." - Lord Maldoror(RnK)

Use Sebos, RSBs or for pods a cruiser/destroyer fitted to lock them in around 1.2-1.5 seconds.
