I just started the game, and all text is blurry and mangled. How do I fix this?

Try disabling antialiasing on the graphics tab in the settings. Should sort it. You can also try disabling AA in the video driver settings in the control panel.

To be able to do that, I would need to be able to READ the text. Which are they, specifically?

are u using a portable?
im sure u are maybee. then the text will be missing or blurry with dots and lines, its like that on most portables. its the f... font they are using. it was okey before exodus expansion. Cant they think of all the ppl that use portables. ARGGGGG CCP fix it.

Hello Im having similar probs with the text IG just downloaded the game and so on for a few days and my prob is the text is not blurry or so it is just not there at all. I mean I can see boxes and so but there is no text no name or anything else readable. Its also on the start screen from the game where I would need to put in my username and password even there I cannot read anything. Ive downloaded the org internet file twice already 513 mb both times size stayed the same but I cannot read anything at all otherthen the start screen at the beginning which says Eve Red Moon or something like that but as soon as the screen changes to the next real startpage with username and so on as I mentioned already :-) I cannot read the text either IG or out of game wanting to log in. I would be very appreciative for any advice concerning this.
My home Computer has following :
2.26 Ghz P4
1 Gb ram
MX 440 Nividia 64 Mb graphic card
Sound Blaster Live
2 X 40 Gb harddrives
screen resolution is 1024 x 728
Windows XP Pro + service pack 2
Motherboard Asus P4S533
Thanks for all help if possible at all I would love to try to play Eve it does sound like loads of fun but without being able to read it is not playable. Thanks again please help me please

Still got the problem with all text. I tryed to reinstall the game completly but still didnt help  . Please anyone out there have an ideal what I can do to fix this problem, I would really love to try to play EVE. Please help me.

I have the same issue on one of my computers and don't have the problem, with the same downloaded program on my system which has a GeForce FX 5600 installed in it. So I think it has to do with the graphics card, so I am going to shell out some ISK today and purchase a new one and see what happens. Hopefully it will correct the problem.

There used to be a slider which you could use adjust or "align" the text. But I havent used it forever, and with this laptop the text is so garbled that I cant even begin to guess where it is. I need someone to in detail describe where it is if it still excist.

Went out an purchased a GeForce 5500 (256 MB) graphic card and that did the trick. Now I can read the text.....

Ok so I more or less reinstalled my computer deleted graphic card, sound, and almost everything else and looked for over an hour trying to find a driver update for my OLD but GOOD graphic card and finally just downloaded one of many offered XP graphic drivers and now it works   . Thanks for the help to all.

Its the buffer thing in options, set it to W then back to Z, I get that every time I load the game
