Futzing around with the Gallente Cosmos misions, I come across Aaheo Oshaima in Colelie and her four-part storyline. At the end of the mission briefing for the first mission, I read this in red letters:

WARNING
You will lose Gallente Federation standing for completing missions for a Caldari corporation.
I was under the impression (empirically verified though it may be) that only important missions had an impact on faction strandings. This missions isn't marked as important, the fourth in the line likely is but the first certainly isn't.
So I have to ask: did someone mess with the standing system again without putting anything into the patch notes or is this simpy a case of a over-zealous moron protection through excessive and misleading information?
Btw, if you can run a text search in mission briefings, it's "ridiculous", NOT "rediculous", as well as "passers-by" and NOT "passer-by's".

Cosmos missions generally count as storyline misisons.
They often give very nasty hits to the opposing factions.

Tachy, I have done a ton of them and have never gotten a faction hit (and a corresponding boost) until the final mission in a sequence, and in each and every case that mission was clearly marked as "important". |

Why dont female characters in-game show their br.easts ffs. CCP please at least increase the pixels on the Exotic Dancers so we can zoom in on them. (Just the chest area will suffice)

As far as I know, only the final mission of a COSMOS mission sequence affects standing. The warning was placed on the first mission as a 'dummy protection'. It would be quite annoying to complete 3 of them then find out at the 4th that completing them all might ruin your standing.

Thanks for the reply. Inspired by Ricdic's fine contribution, I had already done the first mission - and as expected, did not suffer any faction hits. And also as expected, got a minor faction hit on the fourth mission. Dummy protection is fine but this one was, well, confusing, simply because the warning already exists in the fourth mission and every other important mission.
Trouble is, the fourth mission is required to access other Wiyrkomi agents in what is after all the GALLENTE Cosmos constellations. With MY standings, such things don't much matter but I still would have hoped for a stronger focus on Gallente corporations...

All COSMOS storyline missions features last mission as an important and factions standing increase and lost always been insane, even for easy missions.
