The 0.0 pvp corporation territory/pvp/ect is what really appeals to me about eve. Problem is that i'm not sure how to get there. I'd like to stick to blowing stuff/people up, so I figure I should go for either an interceptor to tackle with, or a BS to blow stuff up with. Is there a preference among corporations? Which should I work towards first?

corps in 0.0 usualy look for experiance and proven pvp skils so you may be a little out of look for the time being. There are plently noob corps around but few operate in 0.0 space and even less of those are pvp orientated and don't get totally pushed around by the larger alliances

pirates love interceptors (they are cheap and ez to replace, and can handle most ships by himself)
and Big corps mostly they look for a balance between industrial and mining, most of the brute force is already made since the begining of alliances and such. still u got a small chance to join as a BC pilot becouse they think for any new player wont have enough SP (braincells=a lot of skills) so u CANT manage well a BS u need at least 8 mill SP for managing a BS at its full potetial, otherwise you are just another mouth to feed (giving you stuff that you will loose easy).
Try Battlecruisers, max out your tanking skills and gunnery/missiles skills then advance to BSs if you want or other ships and those skills you got for defence and offence you will see that you need them too so is not a waste.
another way i guess is by donating a large sum of money meaning that you can handle your self.
i hope that give you a insign about how is around the minds behind those big alliances and corps. this days is hard to trust someone too.

You can join to 0.0 corporation and ask ppl to scout you to 0.0 space (the place of their own)
I mainly trained for assault frigates, but IC's are nice too..
Always tho make sure, that you have the isk for the new clone, ship and the fittings.. If you don't have space ships..
PvP take's money, but it's fun , Learn ot loose your ships (that was the first hard part for me)..
Now I laught at ship loosing.. Like we we're hunting rats for isk at the belt with my corp friend.. Then there jumped 5 guy's who's allince is war with us.. 2 bs's and 3 IC's..
I took down 1 ic and let my friend to warp out in his bs.. bad thing for me
Staying at the belt 20 secs too long.. all the 4 targetted me and boom ..
That's life

Not even related to PvP specifically. . . but you should always be ready to lose a ship. I don't even blink an eye anymore when one of my vessels gets blown apart. I just kick myself for doing something stupid while my pod is puttering its way back to a station with the market open purchasing the new replacement.

Pirates don't use interceptors much, they are very popular with people who pvp for fun (I use one myself) but a pirate is someone who tries to make a living killing things and for him an interceptor is way too expensive and easily destoryed to be effective. T1 ships are what most pirates use.
