After carefully re-reading the rules about forum posting. I have found that actually discussing the rules themselves in a bright and positive way is the only legal thing that can be posted on the message boards.
Please join me now in acknowledging the wisdom of the rules and the vastness of possible topics regarding these rules.

hmm... tough one... I'll attempt to do so while still abiding by the rules
Okay ... in a typical joke.. (nope sorry that's not eve related)
hmm... in other eve-related jokes, the joke teller would explain the amusing annecdotes that a miner, a pirate and a trader would be involved in. This cliche has grown to such a state of normalcy, that the idea of three such individuals entering an eve-sponsored bar would be an obvious precursor to a joke in and of itself...
I've exploited this cliche by having the bar-tender himself suggest the idea that it's a joke by the very premise rather than waiting for the annecdotal story, thus turning the approach of the individuals themselves into the anecdote.
haha.. it's really quite funny

it being of couse the very fact that they walk into the bar thats the joke, but im afraid seeing as this post isnt about eve it actually doesnt conform with the rules :) nice try though.

bringing up the rules is against forum moderation.
some topic **** told me that while he beat me with a lock topic bat (in pink of course)
face it, they will find a reason to lock ANYTHING that is negative and about: CCP, SSI, EVE, the GM's, the DEVS, BUGs or LAG... that doesent leave us much else to talk about, as.. if its not eve related.. we cant talk about it.
why dont people start a mass exodus over to Eve-i? altho.. AFAIk CCP put a lean on them when they want topics and material removed from there they dont like too, threatening eve-i with vielded threats of "we want to keep a good relationship going with eve-i" and crap.
IE: remove the stuff we say or we wont help or acknowladge your site again.
dammit, anyone at ccp ever read about Stalin?
the complaints will just get louder and LOUDER ccp until you stop bullying and threatening customers.... its obvious. i have never ever experianced a game board with such drakonian moderation as this, it is a bloody joke and you are making yourselves look bad.
i know the idea is to stop yourselves looking bad.. but its having the opposite effect. take the blinkers off.

If you don't like the Offical Eve forums, go start your own domain, start your own forums, and say what you want, and be sure not to ever moderate it, even if you get people calling you a whiner...

actually cball, i run a tech site with about the same traffic levels as this forum. EVE gets a bit more traffic than us but not much more.
And the site dosent suffer the kind of member Vs mods agro that we see on here... why?
--> because the forum is run fairly, proffesionaly, and guess what? our members dont have to pay for the privilage!

You'll just distort what's being said so you can pretend there's not a problem.
But if your post just now was editted or deleted, I'd have no problems. It's clearly a troll post. Cept nobody is moderating your posts. Hence the problem people are having.

Seems sometimes we get a little too silly in our quest to be so very politically correct that common sense ends up like... well, like arguing online if you catch my drift.
Perhaps what this forum needs is the Vent/Real Life Board (often referred to as an Inn, Lounge, Trailer Park, etc) that is very lightly moderated and people can talk about things not related to Eve (other than contact).
Ah well.
