Hey all...I am getting my butt fed here...what is the best way to defend yourself against missles. There are around 20 Republic Fleet ships all firing at once...I am flying a Thorax.
Any help would be great!!!

Best way to do this missions is to warp in from 100km, agro, and pick them off as they get to you. You'll get them in waves this way as each type moves at a different speed. ******************** Join Public Channel "Christian Public Access" for great fellowship and fun |

After reading the earlier threads of this mission I was hesitant to take my BS into it but didn't find it that hard. I was able to tank it pretty easily even though I should have had an EM hardener on and didn't. Still it wasn't worth the risk/reward as the tags all sold only came to a tad more than a million I think and I only got 2 "okay" peices of loot out of like 35 cans.

Yesterday I was struggling my way through this mission and I found out the following things:
* Tank exclusively for Explosive damage. The more hardeners the better. * Use cap injector/cap rechargers to keep your armor reppers or shield boosters going non-stop * ECM Burst is your friend since this can alleviate quite a bit the need for tanking * A friend in a sniping setup will also be extremely helpful - especially to get rid of those nasty Stabbers

I'm going to guess that this is the level 2 version. Here's how to beat it: Lvl 2 Tech Secrets Walkthrough
I used a Thorax for it. Works great. Hope this helps. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Still working on |

You will get warp scrambled by the aggro of 20+ frigates, and they hurt much more than in level 2. Dont think you do get warp scrambled in level 2 equivalent though. ----------------

You don't get scrambled in the level 2. The OP stated he did it in a Thorax. That should mean it's the level 2 version. If not then it's suicide. hehe

Ive just been given this mission after hundreds with my agent. Im also running it in a thorax. My current setup is:
Hi 5 200mm railgun 1's with antimatter
Med 10MN AB II 10km webby cap recharger I
Low Armour Rep(Small) 400mm nano plate 3 resistance plates
When i started the mission, i got owned by explosive damage, and myt repairer didnt add much to my stayability period. I redocked, and removed the repairer, and fitted four reactive plates giving me 70% resistance. I then managed to do this mission easily :)
Note: My skills as yet, dont give me a good enough tank with small rep, and i cant use medium rep without running out of capacitor quickly.

Tank it correctly and it isn't the biggest deal =)
It is this type of missions that makes the blood rush though, would be nice if we could set warpin point better though since the lvl 3 landed me ontop of the spawn and I had to bail to save my Tempest :P
1 day later and 2 corpmates stronger it was a cakewalk :P

use healy tanked raven with cruise missile i would suggest em and exp, warp in wait for the first group to attack you and kill them whilst traveling away from the main group.
Next check the info on all the ships if you got any sence you kill the support frigs first check there info to find out way its not hard to do its a new mission and ur all on a learning curve

Edited by: Zafon on 30/12/2005 11:31:05 Did this (level 3) last night. Came away with:-
0.9 million(ish) reward 0.8 million(ish) million bonus 1.2 million(ish) in Navy tags 1800(ish) loyalty points 3 million(ish) in named items for sale 1 million(ish) in reprocessed minerals
It was tough, certainly the toughest I have done for a while, but not bad for a night's work (even if I never expected it to take that long). I got some advice first in the Missions channel and that helped a lot :-).
