Hey guys,
Now this setup needs alot of skills and the implant that gives u -5% Cpu to guns.
High Slots: 6 Mega Beams Tech 2 Infrared/Ultra/Multi 2 Hvy Pulse Tech 2 Micro/Ultra/Multi
Med Slots: 2 Cap Recharger Tech 2 1 Tech 2 Target Painter or a Tracking Enhancer tech 2 but i prefer the painter 1 Named Webber
Low Slots 2 Tech 2 Hardners (Race Specfic) 2 Tech 2 Energized Nano Membranes (u can remove 1 for a HS if u want more damage) 1 Large Armor Rep Tech 2 1-2 HS tech 2 1 Tracking Enhancer 2
Drones: 1 Tech2 Hvy 5 Tech2 Meds
Angel Extrvaganza is pretty easliy done with this setup ...... will not that easy lol but it can be done solo.
Ceptors get to 14km or less and they die so fast and i dont even use drones unless theirs alot of ceptors.
U can snipe and even go close with this ship and do alot of damage.
offcourse against uber tanked NPC rats u might take a bit to take him down cause u only using 6 big guns but if u manage to get him in the range of the pulses its ownage.
What i like mostly with this setup is i dont have to worry about being scrambled /webbed. and it does very good damage against big ships too.
and theirs alot of room to change the setup with more tanking or more damage
If u got the skills try it out and tell me what u think, and multi task so your big guns shoot the cruisers and bs while your pulses own the ceptors with help of the drones.  The Master Of Chaos

Hmmm medium guns along with a painter AND webber AND tracking enhancers? I just use large guns along all my high slots and let my drones take out the small stuff.
my wtfbbqpwnnpc set up:
6 tach beams 1 e500 nos
3 t2 cap rechargers 1 100nm ab
1 large t2 repper 1 med t2 repper 2 hardners 1 hs 2 cpr
some times I use a webber but I don't usually have a problem hitting stuff.

Mega beams seems to be alot better than tachyons unless your trying for extreme range, it was in the forum a month back, megas are best your be able to fit bigger plates etc in the lows.

not sure about L4's but i solo a 6/10 with this setup
7x MegaPulse2's (MF, Std, and Radio crystals)
4x CR2
2x Large T2 repper 3x hardner 2x CPR
can get optimal from 15k to 40k and can tank alot of dmg for a really long time hehe

When fighting so close, do the Mega Pulse track well enough? How do you kill battleships that stay at range?

I'm thinking of buying an Apoc to Solo LV4.
Do you really need high Skills to do so?
Can I fit T1 Modules and Turrets and still solo?

Tachyons in my opinion are better in pvp not against rats , its ment for uber damage and sniping but....... alot of cap usage and cant tank that good, Mega beams on the other hand have good damage better fire rate and far better tracking which u need.
Webber to slow frigs and easier to hit with hvy pulses and drones.
Painter is good for hitting BS that are 5 Km close to u with beams and Cruisers that are 15 kms close orbiting u, like stabbers and minnie ships.
Pulses are good if u know who u fighting is going to always go in close but as for BS that tank and keep at 40 kms range pulses wont be so good. i will have to try it out and see.
As for this setup it can work with Tech 1 stuff and named even use less Cpu/powergrid but wont be as much damage output offcourse , u can try it out in easier lvl 4 missions dont take the hard missions.

This setup works well for me, tho it needs alot of SP, but somthing similar may be possible with T1 mods.
8xMegapulse II 4xCap Recharger II 2xArmour Rep II, 3xHardner, 1600mm Rolled Tungsten (or 1600 mm II), PDU II
For frigs i can't insta pop before they get in range I use medium drones. That 11700 (hull upgrades 5) pre gang bonus armour can be a life saver when the entire spawn decides you need to play dead

This is the best Apoc NPC setup Ive seen on the forums in a while. Most people really have no idea how PvE works and try to apply PvP tactics to it :P
Whatever works for you in PvE is a good setup. Some people have posted setups with 6-8 large guns, no tracking or painters, etc. A lot of missions have multiple inties, and while you *can* let your drones kill them, that takes a long time and is not efficient. Im sure most people who post PvE setups do nothing but beltrat vs battleships and dont do missions, or realise how different they are.

6 Megapulse 2 Seige Launchers.
1 t2 ab 100mn, 3 named rechargers
3 hardners, 1 t2 Large armour rep 2, 1 Med rep t2. Rest relays.
I find I can solo any sanshas or bloodraiders lvl4 mission with this setup, barely needing to use the large rep since the med rep is enough if you have 1 em and 2 therm hardners. I really need to move onto t2 guns :)
For Angel surprise and other Encounter Maps, I use this for high slots.
4 Named Tach, 2 Heavy Launchers, 2 Med Turrets (Pulse)
Perhaps I would be better off with 6 tach, but I keep 2 launchers for explosive/kinetic damage, as well as the fact that they destroy spider drones far quicker than any other setup. The 2 Med Turrets help to kill off any frigs that are approaching me. --- Order Now!

2 Cap rechargers named or tech 2 are enough for me. im not saying i can sustain forever , but truth i dont want to sustain cap forever , i go in kill as much ships i can and make sure all tacklers are dead so i can warp in and out as much as i like.
Siege launchers not good on Apoc unless u really have great skills in missles.
Sansha/BloodRaiders are probably one of the easiest to fight against.
Angels/Minnies in the other hand are Amarrs worst nightmare but when u have a verstile ship u can hit them and easily too.
2 Hardners i recommend not 3 they use too much CPU and u dont need the 3rd put 1-2 20% all that will be better. I only use 1 LARP and more than enough.
With setup i got and lvl 3 in all the new tanking skills my EM is 80 % least thing is exp if i dont have a hardner on it , its 55%

My setup is very similar.
It's tweaked for my personal preference. I like to fit an ab and a plate. I also use pulse but with a webber I really should switch to beams.
Beams are by far the best overall for npc'ing. Ok cap usage, range and tracking. Tachs / megapulse lack on some of these aspects imo.

Is It possible to equip 6 tach I's and 2 Cruise and still tank? for tanking im thinking tech 2 hardeners a Large 'Reprieve' Vestment Reconstructer II and a med rep any thoughts?

RMR was Dec 05 joahn FWIW.
