Looks like that the faction loss on normal missions is up again. When you fly for Minmatar against Amarr Navy, all 20 min -0,8% faction loss at Amarr Empire in fight. This standing problem was fixed 18 month ago. Now back again or is this a RMR "feature" ? Alinea

I assumed it was a feature and just reject any such missions.

I think it is a feature, prepping for Kali and faction warfare.. plus the highsec POS need the standing boost you get also. If you noticed the boost you get is higher also. =)

In that case, I guess all these Archangel missions are going to make me KOS in Rens by virtue of -2 effective (and falling) with the Republic Fleet... Parlay? ----------------------------------
Industrialist. I build it. You buy it. You break it and buy another one. Market domination through ingue ferrogue. (I did this and could have stopped it.) |

Was wondering why my rating with the Caldari seemed a bit on the low side - had a missions against them, must have dropped it quote a bit *sigh*

short after release the Mission standing loss was changed. I think the now working "old" system was one of the "features" from a very untested Release of RMR. Old Bugs up again. But CCP had trouble with her serverpower and released RMR to early...
So be careful with your missions, accept only one without the big four factions.... or you come fast in trouble.... Alinea

I think that this system of loosing standing toward another major power is one of the best things that i've seen in eve. Now instead of my missions being just the bland expance of time between buying new ships , i feel a lot more important, as my actions are worth of note to the point of NPCs actually wanting to kill me. Im not welcome in Ammar space at all , and to be honest i think thats great.
People should have to think about who they are working for. I see all the people who skip the opposing faction missions as being police or sherrif which is fine if the corp your working for ends in 'security' ... but i work for the republic fleet , im a soldier and im proud of it, and if that gets me killed by ammarians then so be it. Its the risk you should take by 'joining up'.

Well, loosing standing toward another major power, why not, that's even good for me... as long as you can at least as much with the opposed faction. If what you did to that faction deserves you loose standing with them, surely the ennemies of this faction should appreciate it and increase your standing, don't you think. Here you only loose standing, and quite a big chunk of standing by the way.
When you start, you're loosing standing really fast with pirate factions (well nearly all). But when you loose standing say with the minmatars, why don't you gain standing with their ennemy, the Angels? You know what's usualy said: "the ennemies of my ennemies are my friends".
Loosing standing is a good thing. Loosing standing while gaining nearly nothing or even no standing at all with the opposite factions is completely wrong.
