i have searched the forums for a thread on this subject and found none so he is my 2 pence worth.
i would like to see a concord and faction titan bridges in hisec. they can be accessed by any pilot holding high enough standing /sec status. the cost is dependant on the size of the ship and frequency of use. the price could be fuel or isk or a combination of both.

Malcanis' Law.
Also... Fun Fact: there used to be a "superhighway" in high-sec that connected everything to the CONCORD system of Yulai. Then CCP removed it because they felt it was promoting a homogeneous market when they wanted players to "spread out." It didn't quite work out as planned (Jita became the new "central market" for a variety of reasons)... but it did help promote smaller trade hubs and increase price differences between them. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

Hmm....this might not be such a bad idea....
It doesn't mean there should be one main "highway hub" to exploit as a new trading hub, but it could be an elaborate network of jump bridges that would help people get around (those with high enough faction standings for faction jump bridges and with enough security rating for CONCORD jump bridges).
Also, trading hubs in the real world always formed at the crossroads, it's a natural thing
The jump bridges themselves don't have to be faction/concord titans - they could simply be faction/concord owned POS's and since we know NPC's do not have to follow the same rules as players, hisec could still remain cyno jammed and as such, closed for capitals. |

adding a concord titan to hisec would be a very cool addition to the universe. the art deparment could go wild, ccp can add another isk sink to the game and the whole pace of eve hisec will speed up.
As CCP give with one hand and take with the other. charges of fuel and isk can be levied balanced against standing.

Not quite, the super highway connected Yulai with various systems more or less at the center of the various empires. The problem was less the market and more that players weren't moving very far from this highway gate system because it was too convenient. Removing it allowed people to spread out a little more and let regional markets develop in place of the old Yulai super-trade-hub.
This is a (really) old dev blog on part of their first tweaks to the Highway system. Not sure if that's where they disconnected everything from Yulai or not, digging through the REALLY old (pre 2007) posts is rather painful since they're not verbosely named. |
