I've heard stuff mentioned that there was going to be some kind of stacking penalty applied to doing damage. f you have 5 ships hooting at you you don't take the full 5 ship's worth of damage. Dunno if it made it into RMR though...

I have do this mission this morning, and my ogres II kill all the wingman easily :)
I was in an ishtar and my only weapon was my 5 ogres II.
Another idea try to use some small tourret for fregate is you do lev 3...

hm very odd, i've been doing L3's for a while now in my cerb (which btw is much more fun then in my raven) and indeed encountered several new missions and several new types (most just beeing the same ships just with different names) but tbh sofar most have been very very easy to do.
I'm now waiting for someone to sell me a couple a hi precision heavy missiles or pref a few hi run missile BPC's and it will only become easier (using standard missiles for the cruisers and the hi prec for the frigs)

Thx for all the great replies :) Seems its a combination of new RMR features and a little bug somewhere since I couldnt kill that wingman. Next time I pack my Mega with Hammerheads instead.

i Have BS 5 and did this in a mega since RmR as well, used 5 ogres, and 2 heavys, widowmakers, and scourge heavy missile, they took a while longer but i let my missiles and drones worry bout them, but 1 thing i've learned is that u should be armor tanking in a Mega, and Domi, and use armor hardners, with a large accom armor rep, they can be destroyed with missiles and ogres just takes a while, my heavy missile skill is lvl 3, heavy drone 4, drone 5, gallente drone spec 2.....
if i remember, use thermic, and either kinetic, or explosive hardners, and u can armor tank against those wingman alllll day...i use a combination of active and passive hardners...
but i also noticed those frigs, where also a bit tougher before RmR expansion..

A Raven can't kill frigs, and it's "what's been needed".
Everything else can't kill frigs, and "somethings wrong".
CCP has even knows it. They've added the word BIGSHOT to the URL of my avatar. |

Thats because all shields have a passive regeneration. Those wingmen were probably somewhere between 31-50% shield and as such were at their peak recharge rate. You simply weren't doing enough damage to keep up with their shield regen.

why in the WORLD would you use heavy drones in a megathron for missioning?
thats just silly.
T2(or even T1) light drones rip those things to peices in like less than 30 seconds or so (ok, maybe 45) Mediums work, but they miss more often I think, its more irregular damage chunks...
I'd use 5 lights, 5 mediums, and 2 heavys... or maybe 6 light(1 spare) 2 mediums 3 heavys....

To the OP;
Bigger does not equal better, since you already knew you were going for a frigate on your second encounter with your Domi, you should have brought Light or Medium drones instead of sticking to the Ogres. What happened is that your Ogres were too slow to be able to his that fast moving frigate.
