Being new to this corps lark and currently training to run one, my question is:
can u buy items with one corp member and then have a different member go and collect said items?
and is so could someone write a quick "how to" on a subject?
thanks in advance

You can, by setting up a courier mission and restricting it to the corp or to one member. However (!!!!) be sure to use the "search" in the name field when you do this - it is bugged so if you simply type the name in and hit OK, it will NOT restrict the mission, and any one can steal it.

Edited by: Skaroth on 19/08/2003 11:50:31 Thanks for the reply. But am i right in thinking that a courier mission can only have one object pickup?
We were thinking more along the lines of doing a constellation wide buy and then having a designated indy pilot whizz round to the say 12 or so systems to pick up the merchandise (with this indy pilot NOT being the corps buyer).
cheers, Skaroth (on behalf of Meard)

Unfortunately, until they get corp buying and selling implemented, we are out of luck on this one.

This is one of many things in eve that i would like to see implemented, but i know the difficulty this would create. The use of courier missions is a good work around, and almost like creating a in house logistics order. Trying to set it up so a corp mate could just go and pick up the item would require there to be a corp hanger at the location, which is unlikely or impossible in most cases. There are so many things like this in the world of eve, and i think it best to use work arounds instead of badgering the devs to make changes, but many additions have been made in the last 4 months that people were crying for since the alpha. I know in my experience that the corp heads that introduced me to the game would have sacraficed their first born to have the admin and security tools we now have, so in this regard it doesnt hurt to ask.
