Responding to say I've had the same problem since the RmR patch. It's only done it in windowed mode, and I've tried things like making the refresh rate in the eve window the same as my desktop, all to no avail.
Hopefully the devs will patch this soon.

yep. i have this weird problem also since RmR patch. Indication that i need to reboot pc again.

Is there any update on this bug? Because its really annoying that I have to play the game in Windowed mode at 1024x768.
I'm currently on my 14-Days trial and quite sure that I won't pay for a game that does mouse-pointer-napping...

Dont minimize eve with system standby or a screen saver enabled.

I haven't had any response to my bug report since the initial "thank you for submitting" autoresponse. And I don't think anyone from CCP actually visits this forum, despite its (misleading) name.

Same probs here, I use an MX 1000 mouse, and let me jus say to those 'hardwired' enthusiasts that isntist they are better, trust me, no mouse is better than a logi MX :p 20x more accurate than a hardwired and exaclty the same response time.
Anyways i have the same prob where the curser freezes but the mouse is still operable, its damn annoying, i also use windowed mode, im thinking this is something to do with the cause, its a shame that CCP arnt acknowlaging this obvious bug.

I get the same issue, but with both windowed and fullscreen modes. Using a wired Logitech Click!. No other game has this problem, as I played WoW, Oblivion, and a few others with no problems. I thought it was my dual screen setup (nvidea card) but i tried doing single monitor and it still did it. I have all the latest drivers for everything. I also thought it had something to do with heat, but as far as i can tell with a colder computer it just takes longer to appear (but that could be due to a patch or something).
Ive been getting better at using the mouse without a visual indication, until i can dock and reset the comp.

I have the same problem at here it is nearly a year after the problem has been pointed out by alot of players. I recently came back to EVE and use a corded optic mouse. No other game causes this problem of my mouse getting stuck and nothing wrong with my mouse either. And like the others, only rebooting seems to fix the problem. I dont use ATI though, I run a Nvidia GeForce 5600LE 256mb vid card.
