Even though I have been playing for about 2 years, I rarely escaped highsec and when I did it was simply to make a quick jump.
My question though WarFireV is how would you go about finding NPC losec? I, like Tempus am ready to venture out and it sounds at least like NPC losec would be rad. Are those systems actually classified as NPC losec?

ALL Lowsec is "NPC" (i.e. 0.1 to 0.4 sec status).
NPC NULLSEC is non-sov nullsec (Venal, Syndicate, Outer Ring, Curse, etc) |

NPC nullsec is 0.0 security systems that are owned by NPC corps so there is no sov warfare. Therefore you can dock in most of the stations without the risk of people taking the station you live out of.
There are two types of NPC nullsec. Whole region and partial region.
All of the whole regions are: Curse, Syndicate, GreatWildland, Stain, Venal, Outar Ring. If you looking into doing PvP I would check out Curse. Its the best spot for PvP, but it also is the home of some of the best PvPers in Eve aka Darkside.
Stain is another option, it is the biggest nullsec region in the game so it is possible to hind from the larger groups that live there. The biggest problem you will have with Stain is that it has no connection with lowsec/highsec so you will have to cross conquerable space in order to get there.
There are also a few regions that are part conquerable and part unconquerable, while it is possible to live in these parts of the region I would not recommend it for someone new since you will be having to deal with the people who own the conquerable part on a daily bases.

You can downgrade everything except the guns to T1 and still get good performance - I flew it for weeks before I got T2. Always use faction ammo for more damage. Don't carry more than 1-2 reloads of ammo to minimize the cost when you go boom. Read wensley's rifter guide and also the piracy guide by agony. Good luck and hope to see you in low sec soon! i created another thread on exploration but this is where i started so , wanted to really say thanks and apologize. I got a mail from someone tipping me off that everyone mailing me had to spend 3k isk to do it. I didnt know, so sorry about that.
Updating where i left off. I've met some great people helping me get set up for incursions, low sec exploration etc.
I still havent had my chance at some real pvp yet but the game is turning into a different path. I pvp'd in rvb on some alts a bit, it's okay and helps me with some knowledge of what ships are capable of and how to effectively fight certain ships.
Im still anxious to get out into low/null sec in some of my ships and get into some skirmishes. I don't want to go to these areas with no goal. So i decided to invest in exploration, that way im there with a purpose and its dangerous.
I spent last night learning how to scan , and set my overview up properly. All in all, i think im moving in a better direction. |
