Hi all,
I spend most of my time mining at the moment, building up a bit of ISK to fit out a battleship and interceptor for PVP. My PVP skills suck at the moment so I'm not willing to risk lower security systems just at the moment in pursuit of more valuable ore.
I have a mining barge with modulated strip miners and get good yields, but I want to up the rate I pull out ore. I have good refining and mining skills and want to use the new modules I've heard mention of to get a few extra % per hour.
Does anyone know where I can get these from as for some reason I'm having a hell of a time finding them. I'm based in Forge 5 jumps from Jita, so its not as though I'm in the middle of nowhere.
All help welcome and anyone who want to make troll-like comments about been lame and staying in Empire space go ahead, it doesn't cost anything to ignore your posts.

Search for Mining Upgrade I blueprint, buy it (250k), produce it (~25k @ PE5), train the skill up ($$$), plug it in (-lotsacpu), enjoy (ore! )
seriously, some people are pricing these things ridiculously high at the moment. but meh, if people are lazy enough to not check the print then let them pay 100k+ :)

Has anyone tried using these on a barge. I put one on my retreiver and I can not see a difference in the info boxes. It still says the cycle time is 180 secs and it did not appear to increase the cpu required by the stripminer.

the description and attributes contradict each other. the module actually gives +5% yield, not reduction in cycle time. IMO, upping the yield is better.
And yes, I tested on both regular turret-mounted lasers and strips, they both work. I don't know about ice harvesters, though. |
