The situation is ridiculous. There is no excuse for such poor service and the cheerful, carefree tone of the developers grates like a fingernail scraping down a blackboard. This is appalling technical management and is threatening the growth and future of the whole game. People should be on the carpet for this and we should be receiving hour by hour bulletins on the progress of remedial work from senior representatives of the company. Instead we get CTDs at 10 to 20 minute intervals and no apologies. They should stop behaving like little boys and remember they are running a business with paying customers - and in a highly competitive market.

I agree with this. Why is there no information on this issue in the Eve Information Central Forum. These mass ctd's have been going on for over 24 hours now and are affecting everyone i know in the game.
From what i can tell this appears to be a server, router, or other hardware related problem, which of course happens from time to time, but to keep us in the dark is the thing that is difficult to swallow. Please fill us in on the situation CCP.
One thing you can be sure of though is if people can't play then you can be sure as hell that they won't pay.

Not me. I been playing on and off all day, and haven't CTD'd at all.
And before anybody asks "what's your secret?" - sodomus me sapiens.

Although in the defence of CCP (sort of), as a veteran of MMORP games (Everquest, AC1, AC2) i must say that all these games had exactly the same problems in thier first 6 months...
heck AC2 is still bad nearly 1 year after its release and Turbine the developers have been awarded the license to develop both Middle earth online and DnD online?... despite the fact that AC2 has got to be the laggyest, most boring, unstable game to date. (heck the whole thing went ofline for 48 hours once)
I personally think that they should take the world offline until they have worked out what is going on and fix it.... At least that way we know something positive is going on.
