ok i am just doing a bit of reaserch on eve and Planetside, so if u could just take this suervey it would be great, and ya i did get somtin out of it on the PS side.
1) what type of ram u use ? DDR, RIMM ex.
2) how often do u CTD ?
3) how bad is lag ?
4) What connection u got ?
5) How much ram u got ?
6) type and speed of cpu ?
7) Type and speed of vid card ? and r drivers updated ?

1) 1GB of PC2700 DDR RAM.
2) Only once tonight (node crash).
3) Lag does not appear to be terribly bad tonight - it was a lot worse last night.
4) 512kbit ADSL
5) 1GB
6) Athlon XP2700
7) ASUS SuperFast GeForce Ti4200 128Mb with 8x AGP currently using the latest drivers at time of posting.

Once today... once two weeks before... never before - and I joined in beta 6
3) how bad is lag ?
Usually not noticable, but 5 to 10 seconds yesterday, was better today again, though
4) What connection u got ?
128kb up/768 kb downstream DSL
5) How much ram u got ?
512 MB
6) type and speed of cpu ?
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (I think that is on 1533MHz)
7) Type and speed of vid card ? and r drivers updated ?
MSI nVidia GeForce 3 Ti200... speed? No clue... maybe 30km/h when I throw it?
Drivers are that 30.something Detonator drivers that seem still to be required for users of Win98SE like me.

1) DDR DIMMs 
2) Never (node crashed does NOT count)
3) Ping to the server ~40ms, the lag is usually noticable (sometimes more, usually only when everybody else is whining about it
4) ADSL (0.5/0.5)
5) 768MB (1x512 + 1x256)
6) Athlon XP 2000+ (currently at stock speed) ~1667 MHz
7) Leadtek Ti4400, also at stock speed atm, Detonator 44.03 (not the latest ones).

1. DDR SDRAM PC2100 CAS 2 (spec 2.5)
2. Never when everything is normal. But two weeks ago I had very many CTDs and reboots, because of some server side problem. And this night I've had a couple of CTDs (connection lost9 as well. But that's probably because the whole internet is FUBAR right now.
3. I don't lag when nothing is wrong. Tonight I've had a horribly lag though.
4. ADSL 512/512
5. 512 MB
6. 1.4 GHz Athlon Thunderbird
7. ATI Radeon 9700 @ 380/330, Cataclyst 3.6

cable modem connection
NO isp instability, never drops in any other game and perfect connections to the internet
lives on the east coast USA
No lag
1.7ghz athlon
CTDs every 5 minutes today

The only lag I notice is when I drag something from one container/hangar to another. Sometimes there is an annoying delay.

2) Since saturday, about 3-5 times per 30 minutes
3) Lag is not a problem until CTD occurs. I can play fine and then suddenly I just go link dead.

3) only gets bad after about 2 hours, relog, repeat every two hours or so

ddr single slot, also used dual slot ddr.
about 3 or 4 times a day.
at the moment it is fine, sometimes it can get really bad.

Just noticed after reading thru there is alot of poor AMD saps out there, suckers.. seems lke so far me and stutty have the best! (i only say us because he has the 3.2 and i have the 3.0 but i have a 9800 pro and he has the 9700 pro!) Intel Rules, AMD drools!

I think u need to read the topic.
Not everyone can afford expensive computer equipment due to kids or small income, please respect that.
