Well My Laptop has a Mobile Athlon64 at 2.2Ghz 1 gig of DDR333 Ram and a ATI 9600 Video Card with 64 megs of Dedicated Vram. I have no issues running EVE at all under this configuration. So I would assume that any laptop with a similer setup wouldn't have any problems.

I doubt it'll work, and if it does, it'll go maybe 2-3 FPS.
Its not like a 9600 Mobile or anything costs more than 20 bucks. - Proud member of the [23].

I have no problems with my ATi 9600 mobile graphics chip either. I have a 3GHz A64 CPU, 64M 9600m GPU & 1GB ram.
You must use the newest drivers for your graphics card as the ones that came with my laptop did not enable 3D (yes they were that bad). There is info on www.rage3d.com about modifying the drivers. << Insert whitty sig here >>

I have an Alienware Area-51m laptop with NVIDEA GeForce Go 6800... Runs great... Also, I don't experience the mem leak others have documented. (1 GB RAM, 256MB Vid RAM... Gone 23 hours without logging and no ill effects).

Dell Inspiron 9300 runs two EVEs at the same time in 1440x900 with all effects on max 60~ FPS.

Edited by: Bestbuys on 03/01/2006 16:17:59 Edited by: Bestbuys on 03/01/2006 16:17:20 Gateway N850X Laptop with 1Gig ram and X700 ATI runs RMR great. Even tried 3boxing with it and its fine. It does get a little warm but nothing bad.
I had a Gateway N550 with a Nvidia Geforce Go 32meg and it would get so hot the PC would start beeping and would even shut off. I even went as far as wiring up a powersupply and extra fan to blow under it and prop up the left hand side for cool fresh air to flow under it. I had to sell it because of the heat issue. In everquest it would do the same thing. Normal operation it would run cool.
The Intel built in graphics cards are known to have problems running the game. If your going to spend the money to buy a laptop get one with a true video card not a built onto the board for $5 video chipset.

edit - Oh the FPS is great at 60-65FPS in space and 120FPS in station. If I turn off the Load station effects option the docked FPS shoots up to 200-220FPS. This is at 1440x960 resolution full screen.
