first off let me say that eve is a very good game and is easily my currently most played game.
I only have a couple of problems or perhaps they are questions?, one of which is the news system in eve.
i wana know when the news will actually affect how we play in eve, because it makes no difference at all at the mo, other than some players playingf pretend role play around the scenarios. on the whole the news system could be far better, like events happening in different systems such as coronations or something that we can actually participate in rather than just reading about a work of fiction with no real use.

Most of the fiction is either directly related to a current Event or is a subtle build-up to an Event about to happen.
That's my take on it, anyway.

perhaps you could share this with me, i know some are real like the strange things they do to simply **** you off like making you stay in a station for a few hours due to docking reasons or something.

Hmmmm, yeah, there's been a fair amount of discussion about the warnings about stations/systems going **** up and whether they should be roleplayed or straight up WARNINGS.
My advice is to check the Events part of the forum and to ask corp. mates or people in local if you're unsure.

Because,
a: the actors aren't fully deployed, so there's not anything like coronations going on in far off systems. They've not started running events.
b: the point of the news isn't to announce events. It's more like a weather forecast, telling you the state of the game, whether a system is down, or if a station wont let you undock.
c: if events were all announced, you'd have stuff like that crielere(?) or whatever it was, where the research center was, hundreds of people hanging out in a system hoping for some god-like guy to run up in a battleship handing out goodies.

"something that we can actually participate in rather than just reading about a work of fiction with no real use."
Isn't it your own fault that you don't participate in anything?
